I thought we'd better get this fellow out of the way before we got to far. In the KO2 side of our tournament we are going to have to impose some tournament rules, in <IMG SRC="/koboard/images/smiles/icon_uko.gif"> there will be a tournament rules option to set the game up for tournaments but in KO2 we are going to have to come to some agreement. Personally i feel it should be as follows.....;

It will be legal to score with a shot from the midfield?;

1) I don't believe you can 'disallow' any type of goal. It's not supposed to be real football. It's Kick Off 2. If the computer allows it, it's a goal. The Amiga's decision is final.;

Also I don't think 'Random Pitch' will be very popular.

I would be against importing tactics etc as this would slow the day down dramatically, there are going to be a LOT of games to play and the less mucking around we do the better.

yeah, offcourse 2x5 minutes. Gunther and i talked about the tournament for hours.we think that the home player may choose the computer and i think the pitch type is dry and must be dry all games. Whats youre opinion about all this people?;

I must admit i too would like to outlaw the long punt goal from the centre circle, we should probably run a poll on it though, or maybe we will vote on the tournament day itself.;

..well it didn't seem to save this last time...so hee's the edited version...

My ideas for the tournament...:

*5mins each way

*ref=V Jones (ie.1 foul=yellow card, 2=red - stops the professional foulers)

*Light wind - reduces the effectiveness of the halfwayline punt tactic

*Some sort of Champions league structure, i.e split everyone into 4 groups, top three teams go through to a knockout stage

*Basically, I'm for making everything as easy as possible so that we get as many games in as we can.

I don't like the idea of playing in groups. I think everybody would like to play against Steve and I would not feel very happy if I come all the way from Holland and get knocked out after the group matches. If we have enough computers it will be no problem to play against everybody.

My ideas:

2x5
normal pitch (or the home side can choose the pitch)
international teams (Germany, Holland)
no wind
referee: Fernandez (I agree that a harsher ref will be better because of proffesional fouls, but as we all know there are often automatic fouls in KO2, so I don't think it's right to have a harsh ref then)

I also hope that there will be an Atari ST around, and that the home side can pick the computer (ST or Amiga) to play on.;

And of course we must play at the one and only Kick Off speed of 100%
Danny, do you still play at 50%?;
