Ok,

I would like to make some changes to the site, however it means we are
going to lose numbers (but as these people are inactive thats fine)

Basically I want the site to only allow you register if you have a valid email address (ie a code will be sent for you to logon)

This means Deleting all the current player database and making people
re-register.

The benefits are, less people registering with silly names
The ability to 'remember' your password via email.

Actually what I might do is just create an Edit User Page in which you can update your Email address.
Any user who does not have a valid Email address in 4 weeks will be deleted.

Also I promise I will create the Edit page for you all.

Thats a promise...

Actually thats not a bad idea...

I could move the koanet site off the Badger Soft Server and onto DBNX which would in effect allow me to have access to the ko-gathering database!

hmmmm....

Nice plan...I will think about it.

the only issue is it means the whole site would need to be restarted with leagues and everything which is a bit of an issue.

Good idea to you have there Durban. Maybe you could make some fiels to fill in MSN, the real name of the players, city they live in, d.o.b., picture, etc.
I love the flags alongside the names, but as I don't live in England I don't understand why some people have the UK flag and others the England flag.
I really love your idea of KOA net. It is better then my idea of starting the KOA :wink:

You know damn well why I am doing this!!!

All you needed to do mate was Email me!!!

Gunther mate, yes basically I knicked the league set up from some one elses PHP, it came with all the flags and when I implemented it I didn't mess around with it.

Since then I have amended most of the stuff and created new pages and things, however I never went back to amend the flags.

I may go thru tonight and change all the George Flags to Unions.

I like the idea of other stuff, again the ICQ and AIM stuff is just there coz it was in the original. I never got round to taking it out.

I may have a long look tonight and redo some of the site with my own code.

I will be archiving most of the matches and only displaying say the last 100 results, but I will include an archive page for people who want to see the original matches.

I will also be adding new fields to the players table, I think the best thing to do is just ask people to update it when they can

Any ideas what you would like on the personal pages? I can't really do photos as they just eat up space to be honest and are hard to control.

I was planning on doing this but its quite hard.
I was also going to put a 'Mortal Enemy' list so that we could see which players get beaten a lot by which others.
