As said earlier in the forum, 0.3.5 is just a bug fix. The players couldn't be controlled with the keyboard keys in 0.5. In works again in 0.3.5.

Also, a splash screen appears when you start loading the game (there are still bugs with this panel in browsers, not with Java programs).

Next step: include Steve's graphics from KO2 and detect game events (throw-in, kickoff etc...). Also: add time management.;

Herve,

I am going from memory but was the idea behind OpenKO to make it java based so you can play it over the internet?

Is this still the Aim and how is it coming along?

Fair play to you mate, using your own unfunded time to do something like this, I would have given up after day 1.
No doubt it will be more than worth the effort.

I'd <b>REALLY</b> love to. Meeting you and the others would be fantastic. However, I am affraid I have to say no. I try to save money at the moment. I am buying a house here and the credit is running. Could I decide at the last moment to join the party ?;

Mark,

It is Java based for 2 main reasons:
- it is easy to program (client-server, graphics, ...)
- I know Java <IMG SRC="/koboard/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif">

A game like KO2 seems to be easy to program. But there are lots of small things that made the game sooooooo good. I'd like to integrate all of them. My first aim for 1.0 is to be able to play against someone and to be able to score. Later version would aim at getting closer to KO2.;

It's just a future plan, but not sure if it's possible yet. I hope that the ANCO programming team can look up to it. <IMG SRC="/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">
