Maybe just to get openkickoff back in motion.. surely it's not just been abandoned. It was all going so nicely. Maybe the guys on it have just forgotten about it, or just can't be bothered ? Real shame if so.

Mark, Vas is a wanker I have to admit!!! He confused you so much. In fact I don't know if there is any progress on that at all. I believe though that the way guys were moving towards before (JAVA client) was wrong... It could be done on the PC as a Direct 3D application but as Steve said I am not sure how many have the time to do something at home. We have to wait and see...

P.S. I had a dream last night. I saw cute KO2 sprites with red tops and white trousers running on a green screen...Guess what? It was on my Philips screen that I use for the PC!!! What the ****!!! Stupid dreams...

What a great country we live in. Tromso is near the North Pole isn’t it.

And Sheffield is where?

I think that’s the point Steve is making!!

The placing is not the object. In Norway we've got several different kinds of adsl opportunities; by phonelines, by powerlines (this will go by powerline to the nearest trans.box. and the rest by phoneline, by cable or by sattelite.

The best offers is in southern Norway (Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger) where you don't have to have a phone-subscribtion to get adsl. In Tromsø we do. In other words; the sub. I've signed up for is way lousier then what my brother has in Bergen; for the same money, and he don't need a house-phone. He's just got a cell-phone. I've got house-phone, cell-phone, isdn and adsl. Expensive shit.

Not by the word "lucky" in the right context. Read what I said a few lines up.

As I said, what a great, forward thinking, country we live in. Tromso is near the North Pole and they have not just one, but numerous broadband options. In southern Norway you don't even need a landline to get Broadband

In some areas of great industrial cities like Sheffield and Manchester there are no options.
