I was just playing Stainy, and it was 3 nil to me, before the game got disconnected.

Stainy however thought it was 4 nil to him! on ave 30fps game.

We were de-synched!!!!!
I thought it was all too easy!

nevermind.....

I am sorry for saying that, cos I really want it to work!!!!
But it just isn't happening!!!!!!!!!!!

We tried all sorts of servers, and it just kept crashing.

I really thought that the online thing for Kick Off would equal what has been achieved with Sensible Soccer. But because of the servers being absolutely rubbish even my enthusiasm has waned.

After help from BountyBob, I tried KO2cv92 on WinUAE, and I get 49 to 55 fps.

However, when I go back to Kalliera, its like only 7 fps ...

This is really weird. Like Sid says, I got him to try it with regular Winuae and it runs perfectly. For some reason using it with Kaillera running kills performance. His internet connection doesn't seem to be the best but he's getting lower pings than Alkis was the other day, so it shouldn't be this bad.

It`s syncing issues!! I wouldn`t of expected it to be 7fps being ran locally..
Something is up with Sids connection I reckon ..

I`ve got nothing below 45fps... before.. tried with SID today and it was total wank!

Mandhir, have you considered setting up your firewall or even disabling it completely?

mind you between 2002 and 2003 I made hundreds of games against fabio artuso and we were the pioneers on online KO; in the last months both of us brought the best internet connection available in Italy. We had fibre optic cable 10Mbit download and 10 Mbit upload allowing us to play always with ping lower than 5ms but we still had problems on desync, disconnection, etc. on more than 50% of games, that was crazy so we give up.
Winuae kaillera is a total mess, and it's an own admission of the developer, no surprise the software is abandoned since 2002.
Maybe it's just a software made for lan games between pcs on the same place.

The only future for us is hopefully online playing with KO2PC (finger crossed) and that's why Amiga SWOS will be soon available for XBox360 online live arcade...
