Now that I've started playing the regular 512k instead of the 1mb version that I used to play, I was wondering if there are any major differences between both (besides the overhead kicks)? The free kicks for example are considerably different, am I right?

The most significant difference is the keepers. The KO2 keeper is much better, I think.

Binary, good question mate, I was thinking exactly the same.

I decided to change last night, I normally play the one meg version but wasn't managing to score more than 7 a game.

I personally think the 512k version is easier, the tactics seem less solid. I don't know what it is but I can score 10 against the 512k version. I reckon maybe there were a few tweaks to the AI and tactics but overall its similar.

There is a graphical difference, when you start the game you get an extra option on the 1meg version (an extra box or two on the screen just before the kickoff!)

Two differences I noticed were:

1) The 1Mb boots faster, not sure why tho. The 512k even reads from the floppy when I start a new game, but the 1mb simply loads up once and that's all

2) On the 1Mb version, to shoot at goal from a free kick, you just have to tap the fire button. On the 512k version, you have to press for more time to give the shot more power.

I thought the fire button on free kicks controlled the height! I presumed the power was set mate.

Also, just to be awkward my 512 version loads a lot faster than the 1meg as the 1meg version plays that song thing.

Yesterday on 512k version I just made a small tap on the button, just like I did on 1mb version, and the ball didn't even get to the barrier!

Doesn't your 512k version read from the floppy when you're starting a new game? My 1mb version doesn't, after pressong "Done" it just starts the game.

Does anyone have the original one MEG version on disk for the Amiga ? I'd love a copy as I've been playing ko2 512kb for years now <IMG SRC="/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">
