Dear all,

I haven't ever had the chance to compare KO2 on the Amiga to the Emulated version (I have played both but not for a while).

So is there much of a difference really in the real and emulated versions?

I mean in gameplay, ie If I played my mate on the Emu version when I come to play a similar skilled opponent who has used an amiga all his life how much of an advantage would that give him. Or are the two versions pretty much the same in play?

I presume there is a big difference, but I want to know for sure.

Cheers boys.

It depends on if you have a great computer or not. I fyou have the emulated game feels just the same as the amiga game.

If yoyu don't have a good computer the game goes really slowly and the graphics are not as good as you are used to.

That's pretty close to the truth.
I thin kit may depend on the emulator as well. The winfellow is quite better than the winemu for KO2.

I run it on Winuae and to me it seems to run perfectly (normally if a game is slow you realise, or the sound is bad) but everything runs sweetly.

Therefore hopefully I won't have too much of a disadvantage at the UK Gathering then (Apart from being pants that is!)

I've been playing nothing but WinUAE since the Tournament in Nov. (apart from 1 day at Naz's). The sound on mine is shite as well (1Ghz Althlon !!!). I'm hoping that the slightly jerky nature will mean i'm even better on a Real Amiga

I am running a 500mhz pIII and the sound is spot on, no clicks or missed sounds. The crowd works well (whereas on the ST version emulated the sound sometimes cracks or sounds strange). I reckon I must just have my UAE settings spot on then.

On my machine it runs perfectly, with perfect sound, you have a close machine to me Ely, so I don`t know why you get crap sound and jerky movements ?

IMHO, playing on the Amiga is way better:

a) It's easier to have your loved joystick working

b) An Amiga boots faster than a PC + running the emulator

c) The Amiga sound is the Amiga sound as we remember it, the Emulated sound is close but not the same thing

d) Playing on a wide TV is better than on any 17'' monitor

I use Fellow to emulate KO2 on my pc and it works pretty good. But I can only play the game using my keyboard so I can't play the game properly at the same speed as the Amiga 500.

If you want to play UKO or KO2 with your amiga joysticks! Why don't you buy an adapter?
