I've finally been able to play a rom of PM where you can save a game and load it up the next time you play. Unfortunately I've not been able to do it with WinUAE but with Fellow (a great emulator, but I do prefer WinUAE).

I still would like to use WinUAE, but haven't had any luck with savegames (I did try a whole bunch of different roms). Anyone solved this problem? I see people on this forum talking a lot about playing PM, but how do you do it?

/quick edit

I know this has been referred to before, but I couldn't find a working solution, sorry for any double-posting

Anyway, if you're having trouble with WinUAE yourself, the latest build of Fellow can be downloaded at: http://fellow.sourceforge.net/

I think that the proper procedure to save a PM game in winuae is alike to fellow's: create an empty adf, load PM, save game, press F11 (or F12), switch disks, save. It should work.

I never managed saving a PM file and making it work in WinUAE. Whenever I reload, it's corrupted. I guess you're stuck with Fellow. I myself use my real Amiga.

the only problem i've had is that when i save a game to an empty disk it works ok... but when you try to load the saved game there's nothing in the directory listing...if you remember the filename... you write it and select load... then it worked allright for me....the next time you access the disk the directory listing is visible... strange...

Shame on me! I never thought of trying to type the name looking at the empty list! Where have you been all my life, when my Amiga was away, Jacob?

thanks Jacob, I'll see if it works. Another solution I've heard about but never tried is a feature of the newest WinUAE: "savestate".
