Personally I really liked it, I could play as France and all my fave players like Alain Giresse and Michel Platini (God!!)

It was great as you could sort of pit your managerial skills against your mate and pick a world class XI, some of the best players in the world were there, its a pity there weren't more teams as that would have been fantastic.

The gameplay added and took away things, it was a lot harder to score (so that aint a bad thing) most games ended 1-1 or 1-0 etc but thats how it should be if you ask me, more fun to score in a low scoring game than to be 3-0 down at half time.

The over head kicks were good for defending and added a new element to the game, and the lobbing was a bit better (sort of a chip rather than a lob)

I really loved that game, I would still probably chose KO2 over the Final Whistle version but even so I don't think it was a bad add on and certainly added to my enjoyment.

We used to have a whole weekend were me and my mate would play a player manager team/tactic league on basic KO2 and then halfway through we would have a few games were we took 4 Final Whistle teams each and played a cup. It was great, always ended up Brazil or Germany Vs France in the final tho

gotta love that France team, Tiganna, Giresse, Platini, Six, Battiston, Bossis, Bats I could go on for ever

Yeh it was a good add on. I seem to remember the biggest thing about it for me was the inclusion of offside making it a proper football game. Look at your radar or hear the whistle!

It was my favourite add on. It was how i used to play the game, with random pitches & light wind. FUN DAYS!

I think I spent more time playing Final Whistle than KickOff 2 1.4e.

I just loved the challenge it was so difficult to score goals and the offside feature was great fun as well.

Fair enough it took a lot of time to get good at the game but that was the same for KO2.

Bring it to Glos then Jimbo.

We can have a few games of that, but I get to go France, that is the rules.

I want France Version 1.4e with the Michel Platini who dribbles with the ball behind himself.

It was indeed a cracking game. The offside was a bit dodgy tho, prefer it in KO2002 thats pretty much spot on (apart from you cant run back onside!) There was a lot of problems with the FW offside rules, can't remember now but they were certainly a big issue sometimes (you had to leave em on tho nothing like a good fight after a really dodgy goal is given to win in the last min)

I must admit I hated it Might be okay playing against other Humans but against the comp. I just couldn't get into it at all. The feature were all good, but probably not being able to score put me off. Probably be okay at it now mind

Yes Ely give it a go mate you will be surprised.

Scoring a goal in FW is very rewarding mate.

I played it last week for a game and scored a couple of goals.

I cracked up laughing when you stop in the box the keeper comes for ya but when you go to shoot he legs it back to the goal line to make a save. Very clever keeper..hehehe

Everything was good expect the goalkeeper in my opinion, which kind of ruined it for me. Playing against the computer was more challenging, but playing against another human was not that much fun.
