Round 2. After a scrummy 1st half, ending at scary 1-1, Germany decided to switch on PBD, and secured a comfortable victory.

Round 5. Scotland started really good, playing hard, defending well, but eventually they had to surrender to the German ko2-machinery.

Round 6. France vs Germany.
Allthough the French took a heavy beating in the first half (Germany was up 3-0 after just 90 seconds), they managed to pull back and muster some sort of team-effort, holding the score steady for around 5 minutes. But in the end the Germans proved too strong.

Round 7. Italy vs Germany.

The Italians tried to get their catenachio going, but not even the camorra could've helped them in this match. Final result:

I almost always played leagues, using Spain, renaming and modifying colours as Real Madrid. The best team among kick off national squads was Sweden.

There were 3 Danish championships back in 91-92 where the national teams were used. England and Spain were quite popular (you had to prepare two teams in case somebody chose your own first team), and I remember also one strong guy playing 532 with Sweden. Most countriees had something going for them though. It was easy to fall in love with a few key players and then try to mitigate the runtiness of some of the other players somehow.

Only England had R. Shaw though.

True about R. Shaw. He really sticks out. And England also had a tremendous Lobber in L.A. Martyn. He's incredible on the mid-distance lobs.
I think what I like about Germany is their overall speed. They're not at R. Shaw's level, but all over they're solid.

try E.Kemp in spain's squad, fast, awesome shot on him and great agility, hardly ever gets tackled or dropped... but, if he's fouled, he's a complete wuss

Indeed, E.Kemp was a formidable striker!
