Question , will the output from something like this

connected to a hdmi adapter be displayed on a modern lcd/plasma/led tv ?

Sellers says "conventional type (CRT)TV as they always display a better quality picture." Why so ?

Amiga runs at 50hz, monitor probably runs at 60hz. Things get messy.
Also a delay in converting analogue to digital.
Also potential ghosting effects if the pixels dont change colour rapidly enough.

Thanks for the answer Steve.I found a random TV online

http://www.komplett.ie/product/zkb-01av ... tails.aspx

It specs states Frequency tolerance 50/60 Hz however this is under Engergy management ! Are you referring to vertical sync range ?

I expect that means it can handle 50hz or 60hz electricity source, which is common.

The vertical sync is the important factor.

I remember trying an Amiga on my plasma-screen once. Total pants. The game just felt utterly slow, and timing was way off.

What Steve said, playing with such stuff is very painful, you can connect real amiga just on crt tv or commodore monitor.
Don't use trinitron tv because they introduce a big input lag. Plasma tvs have a lag so long that you can move the joystick, have a coffee, come back to the monitor then and the move isn't done yet.
Ultra mega gold cables are pointless, they can lead a good signal, but amiga connectors on the main board are very poor so, although you have perfect cables, you have a bad signal.
