I'm sure most of you know this joystick by now, you've been harassing me to bring you some to tournaments for years because CMS wouldn't ship abroad. This problem has now been solved as you can order an Amiga (or PC, if you want) CMS joystick from the Greek E-store ITsmart. It is owned by a member of the KOA, some of you have met him, Vagelis Daskalos so that's an extra guarantee for you that you will be treated professionally.

Thanks Alkis/Vagelis. Made a note of this for future reference. :) I bet other gaming communities could be interested too.

Is there a way of buying these in English? Tough job in Greek.

Cheers

The Amiga version of CMS joystick is no longer available! CMS won't produce it again and doesn't have any more in stock (I wish I knew earlier).
There is a number of CMS joysticks for the PC, with 4 or 6 buttons (about 40 each I think). They need a gameport or a USB to gameport adapter - not all such adapters work with it though. Some other greek shops may have some joysticks in stock (for the PC only). When we get the very last ones, I'll post again.

Thank you for letting us know Vagelis. This is truly the end of an era, the last of the great Amiga joystick makers falls silent. Image Image

That's terrible. Fools! Maybe one of our japanese-parts-importing-and-building-their-own-sticks-members should turn professional? ;)

This is very sad.

Earlier this month I asked them if they would create an atari/amiga joystick USB adapter. I got no response, presumably as they had already decided to drop this joystick format.

Personally, I would love to get involved in generating hardware, but I seem to be already swamped with software tasks!

It is relatively easy to rewire the gameport version to DB9, done it several times, but if I understood correctly they'll stop producing all versions?! I don't consider the Japanese arcade stick I built as very well suited for KO2, though the components are of very good quality. (Much better than the (cheap?) CMS-parts.) Maybe Lorenzo should bring some wooden sticks to Birmingham, they're obviously good enough to win the silver cup!
