Superb find there, Dagh! Another outpost in the KO2 universe. :) Makes you wonder who else might be out there too!

Fascinating to read the translations. As Jacob said, they'd absolutely love KO2CV. Not that it'd be needed but this alone may be enough to entice them back into action? Be great if that happened.

dnielsen wrote:If I remember correctly, Nikos and his friends way back then developed a rule/fair play dictate identical to this one, and it has been discussed and pondered over also several times in the KOA.

This was very common in Greece back then. Even if it wasn't the rule it was polite to ask before if they would KO lob or not. You could say that it was frown upon.

Apart from that they were spot on about Team A being stronger than B and about what should change in the game bug-wise.
It is like finding a missing link in KO community evolution, hopefully not extinct.

I just discussed with Garry a peculiar incident from the Lund II video that Jacob posted. The Lund II video is here:

viewtopic.php?f=12&t=15531&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a#p251522

The incident happens at about 1:15. We discuss the incident on page 3 of the Lund thread, starting here:

viewtopic.php?f=12&t=15531&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=26#p252251

I made a new little video with some clips demonstrating the phenomenon:

In particular, in the slow replay of the first goal, we can see that the keeper begins his dive before I trap the ball. That is, the keeper dives simply as a result of us dribbling towards him (and the ball having enough height, I guess). The video also shows that this "trick" is possible even with NOPBD, you just have to add some height to the ball in some way -- here I do it with quick circles. The same thing happens sometimes in regular play where you try to shoot, but you trap the ball instead. I think this happens when the ball has too much height so that we are not actually in "contact" with the ball when we press the button.

What an amazing analysis and demonstration of this phenomenon, 19 years after it's release Dagh posts a clip of something that i've just noticed as peculiar incidents during the game occurring rarely. this is what makes this game so great that we still discover new things about it.

wonder whether it's possible to implement in a real game with an disturbing Cox getting in the way.

What Jacob said!

Wow! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this!!! You've uncovered a whole new type of goal imo! 8) What are you going to call this great discovery, Dagh ? Perhaps the Premature Dive Goal or maybe the Dive of Shame!

It was time a move was named after Dagh.
We are living great moments!

Damn impressive. Both KO2 (for having so many nuances) and Dagh (for uncovering even more of them).
