I'm aware of that Garry and that's why I never strongly opposed to its removal. But not strongly opposing to something is one thing and voting FOR it is another.

No offense to the pro-removal side, but all I hear is yet another "I can't be arsed" argument. This is nothing new and we've had it since the beginning of the KOA.

-I can't be arsed to learn how to use players who don't shoot straight. Let's allow lineup changes.
-I can't be arsed to learn how to defend against kick off routines. Let's ban them.
-I can't be arsed to learn how to defend against lobs. Let's invent some ethic rules.
-I can't be arsed to learn how to defend against BLCs. Let's use wind.
-I can't be arsed to learn how to defend against all the goals people score. Let's ban them all and only keep the ones I can actually do.

So now, it's:

-I can't be arsed to learn how to not slide. Let's remove unindented slides.

Of course, the Icantbearsers never say "I can't be arsed". That would be too obvious. The arguments of the Icantbearsers are always something like:

-I'm not having fun
-I tried it and it was more fun
-We used to do that in the "old days" and it was more fun
-This or that is impossible/undefendable
-It's a clear bug and it should be removed
-It's a filthy, repetitive way of scoring unlike the beautiful goals I score
-Steve Camber did it and we should respect him (NEW ENTRY)

Note that I'm not saying that ALL the people who are in favor of one of the above are Icantbearsers. If you just read this and got offended, it probably means the arse fits.

On another note, I agree that Robert has no dress sense.

I understand the slippery slope paranoia, but I have no fear of it as I'm in that lucky position that if I don't want to go down the slippery slope, then nobody does... and I don't want to go down that slippery slope.

For me, the goalie is a no go zone - his stupidity is part of the charm of KO2, along with the dubious goal detection. These things I find entertaining and are staying untouched.

However both slides types have zero fun content, only agony. After playing blissfully for months without them and then reintroducing them for my recent WC practice, I can only feel highly disappointed. An awesome game relegated to sub-awesome.

You're not 'hearing' me correctly as its nothing to do with being 'can't be arsed' for me. Of course I could learn to play around 'bugs' but that misses the point. Without this 'buggy' interruption to gameplay and having better control over my players, simply makes it a better game imo.

Alkis,

You forget one vital aspect in your viewpoint.. and that is the "How Dino intended it" .. concept.

Now if you want to think that Dino intended your player to slide, when he is already in posession of the ball... then that sums up your opinion on Dino as a programmer.

Isn't that a perfectly valid way of argumenting?
Isn't that the argument you used the other day while shooting down a valid question posed by Dagh? (what happend to the KO2CV 1.00 thread anyway, why was all but 1 reply deleted and the thread locked??)
