I checked out the code last night. Auto headers are totally random. Any ai player who is just running about normally will randomly jump if the ball is above a certain height and within a certain range. Auto slide is similar with a test on possession and ball distance and height. Of course aggression stat is used here. I also noticed that the distance to the ball had to be less when in the penalty box areas for a slide to be chosen.

So could this mean that it was intentional... and not bug related?

You may look at it that way but ultimately its the KOA who decides not me. I put my views forward, as have you, and its up to all of us to come to our own conclusions. I don't see it as Garry's views vs Stainy's views at all. The lack of debate is more of a problem in my book. How hard has it been to start an open debate without be frequently accused of this and that. I spend more time explaining what I don't mean than what I do!

Maybe this one is due to switching range, in PBOX the switching range is smaller than in the rest of the pitch, isn't it? :)
Your note supports what I written between the lines: autoslides is related to switching, and more, bad switching.

That makes sense :)
