Rare(ish) Kick Off 2 replays video

Postby alkis21 » Tue May 27, 2008 10:32 pm

This collection is less about skill and more about rarity. Some of these replays you're about to see do not happen very often.

The video begins with some "WalkOnLine"rs because Gianni requested them, although I believe that if you have seen one you've seen them all. Then we have a piece of lightning fast direction change & dribble in the midfield, followed by two shots that bounce weirdly off the keeper's body before going into the net. The next replay shows the most amazing Amiga defense I've ever seen, at least by the default team. After that, you will see a series of parallel (to the goal line) plays. The collection ends with something Garry will love - the stolen goal of the century!

I added extra slow motion replays where I thought it was necessary.

Enjoy:

Very cool video.

I scored a somewhat related goal against logos in online play. It was a back line chip, but nobody touched the ball, it just dropped down and it was a goal.

What do you use to record your videos? I would like to record videos on my PC, using WinUAE.

WinUAE can record videos. Just hit F12, select the Output Tab, edit your preferences (DivX or XviD are best if you have them) and click OK. Hit F12 again when you want the recording to stop.

Nice altogether but especially these "walk on the line" goals surprise me every time.

What software do you use for editing Alkis?

Somehow missed this first time - Think I was away at the time. So glad to catch it now though....

Wow! 8) Another quality collection with cool soundtrack. :) Don't think I've seen a "WalkOnLine"r before! Killer piece of defence as you say! I've got a soft spot for those crosses and headers because it not only requires precision with the cross but precision to position and time the header! 8) 8) 8) Very painful but interesting to see that ROBBERY at the end!!! Injustice!!!"!

As much as I would like to attribute those to my superior skills, I have to admit that those are very much dependent on luck. When you apply only vertical aftertouch as opposed to vertical + horizontal (translation: when you are walking parallel to the line and you only move the joystick opposite to the direction you're headed and not up/down) the ball can practically go anywhere, and for every cross you see in that video there were at least 10 identical movements in which the ball ended up in the stands.
