Is it possible to temporarily grey it out while paused but bring it immediately back afterwards?

Btw the idea of using '[' is display 12+ goals across two screens is to avoid this happening:

Not that I'll ever have this problem! Actually I could be on the receiving end, come to think of it!

Losing the scanner doesn't worry me but the potential length of Garry's post match analysis becomes frightening.

Watch out Andy Gray - you can never have too many talking points, even if my matches often finish after everyone else's!

Actually the screen above is mainly a re-arrangement of the existing information, apart from the territory stat and the assist detail.

Btw I'm not in favour of losing the scanner in the middle of a match! I was just asking if it could be momentarily greyed-out (maybe turn pitch and players to black and white?) just
so to make the stats screen easier to read.

All this messing around with keyboards has reminded me that the 'D' key toggles the display of the scanner. I imagine at half-time/full-time this part of the code is utilised. Might it be possible to so a similar thing when 'P' is pressed ?

Now for some stat suggestions that could be displayed during natural pauses in play, all are basically elaborating on existing messages...

Image

The foul count might give an idea of who's adopting the more aggressive tactics ? Maybe this stat should be displayed again when yellow/red cards are issued to show how harsh or otherwise the ref is being ? The corner count could be indicative of which side is doing all the pressing?

The goal stat may provide some extra, instant info to help enjoy those special goal-den moments! :D The missed by stats could add to the tension in a tight game when shots shave the post/crossbar!!! Obviously I'm not aware of whether these ideas are doable or not but thought I'd throw them into the wishing well! 8)

The intention behind all of this is to add some interesting information about what's happening in a game and to provide some extra talking points, so to add to the drama, tension and excitement of a match! :)

8) 8) 8)

One other thought I've had - it would be great to have a woodwork hit count again - a important stat imo - but its not so straightforward in terms of when a woodwork hit should be counted and when to display the message:

After the ball hits the post/crossbar, it can:

1. go into the goal (with/without a second deflected crossbar/post hit)
2. go into keeper's arms
3. go out for a goalkick
4. go out for a corner
5. go back on the pitch and play resumes (with/without a second crossbar/post hit)

Imo 1 shouldn't be included in the count, whereas 2-5 should although multiple ricochet hits should only count as 1.

I wasn't sure when the best time to display the woodwork count as I don't think it could be displayed where play continues, or when a corner follows. So maybe it could only be displayed when a goal kick follows (i.e 2 or 3) as it wouldn't be necessary to include the 'missed by info' ? So it would look something like:

' GOAL KICK (WOODWORK 2 : 2 ) '

Hope this makes some kind of sense ? Perhaps there's a more obvious solution ?

I think the game should pause at the end of the final whistle displaying the stats, instead of showing up briefly then end when the players walk off the pitch.

Press fire button to continue.... would give u a chance to revel in the stats a wee while longer, cos sometimes u forget to look at them.

Or maybe even screen dump that final screen... to a waiting blank floppy :) then they can be all put together with the results. as a nice little bundle of info...
