Beware :)
(of course, to create a game, you need much more than programmers).

When will I learn to keep my mouth shut...?

Well, if Steve doesn't want you to have your mouth shut... what can you do?

I hardly work on programmed music anymore, but we're aiming on some studio-time with the Polka's later this year. So if we're looking at some rockin' soundtrack that's no prob. ;)

OK, that's the rockin soundtrack sorted out. In fact make it two.. one for the front end, and one during the game. :D

Deal.

Sid could probably help with digging up examples on the gfx. He's proven his capabilities in that thread of his in the Bench...

There should be only one answer to this and it shouldn't involve MFC.

I'd probably just use a load of BMPs and DirectX, unless you know of some cool system?

I know where I can get hold of some really REALLY good photoshop artists ... if that is gonna be of any use... maybe for the title screen?

(but then how would you get that into the game?)

The same way you get any graphics in a game.

I think when he spoke of MFC he was suggesting using windows GDI.

Dont worry i am a wizard on photoshop and will knock up some menus/buttons when we know a little more about what we need. Im sure there are a few other good artists on here aswell. So if we design it so it can be easily skinned it would be cool.

always wanted to design a menu system from scratch, so should be fun been involved.

Bounty, i may of i am not sure as i have never used the standard libraires for dialogs you can use in visual c++. My time on c++ has either been console programs or directx sprites and bmps in game.

Oh yeah if anyone wants to help who doesnt have the computer skills but perhaps is good with art and creating interfaces and layouts, feel free to knock up some sketch design of the menu system, and i will turn them into real things asap. Otherwise i will have a play around this weekend myself.
