Lob Off, as sweet as it sounds just isn't Kick Off.

Spoke to BBOb and he reckons it's simple enough to implement... A match report. Basically store the game details and produce a report of the game... nice to remember certain things for future arguments...
Something like
1:23 GOAL! Haydn scores from top-right corner
1:28 GOAL! Waynie equalises from Kick-off Lob!

Steve, what you are proposing sounds exactly like http://www.sensiblesoccer.de . I would love something like that to be available for Kick Off.
Imagine, as well as Offline tournaments, of which there are many, we could have organised leagues! Cup competitions! How cool would this be?!
Download the version of SWOS at the top of this page: http://www.sensiblesoccer.de/index.php? ... nload_main
(the one that says "NEW! AMIGA SWOS winUAE Kaillera v1.00")
Not only is it possible to put Kick Off on the PC running through WinUAE, but you can add on a client that searches for networks!
This would be fantastic if possible.
EDIT: Just been going through this thread in more depth and whilst it might be possible to enhance the game in a way never thought possible, doesent mean that we should do that. In my opinion, the more things you add, the more cooler it becomes - takes away from the original game and more often than not, we all come crawling back to the game that we fell in love with.
I reckon it would be better to leave the Gameplay the same apart from sorting out the bugs within the game (bugs that i never knew were bugs until i found this site hehe). Things like the ball going wide, but the computer thinks its a goal etc. (then again, I used to think it was dodgy linesmen giving these decisions - didnt think it was a bug)
But it would be cool to have the graphics of the Pitches and stadium enchanced but as for the gameplay I would vote for leaving it identical.

There will be no vote.
Default gameplay will be identical, that's the whole point!

If it's running under emulation, then changing the gameplay would still mean changing the original Amiga code and I'm not sure that is what Steve is suggesting. As far as I can tell, it is to maintain the Kick Off we know and love but to enhance it with bells and whistles.Steve1977 wrote:I reckon it would be better to leave the Gameplay the same apart from sorting out the bugs within the game (bugs that i never knew were bugs until i found this site hehe). *EDIT* See how sneaky Camber was getting that in there while I typed my response.

Yes, an online audience would be possible!
