This is very true. My game has improved dramatically since I started using the CMS sticks. Now things happen most of the time as I want them to. Whereas before I'd be making huge blunders because the stick wasn't so precise.

I know a bad workman always blames his tools but these comments got me thinking. I wondered if there's a any correlation between joystick and KOA rank? Are certain joysticks avoided by the top players and others preferred?

Post the name of your preferred joystick and lets see what (if anything) the trend is...

Joystick will play a part but game knowledge and basic skill will always be overriding factors.

I used to use Zipstiks but changed to the CMS joystick a while back and haven't looked back.

Started off with Comp-pro but made the switch to CMS a few years back. No way I'm going back. ;)

As for the joystick question, I don't think there's any correlation between good/bad players and specific joysticks, or at least not an obvious one.

I do know though that there's no way I could play with Cruisers/Speed Kings (how on earth can you play with this thing Gianni?)/Comp Pros/Zip sticks etc. Apart from my stick, I could easilly play with Tomahawk/Pacman/Starfighter sticks and - to a lesser extent - CMS sticks.
