Puzzling... are the values standalone or are used in conjuction to each other?

The first 3 values appear to be closely related to each other.

I'd guess the third was number of fouls allowed before giving a card.
Maybe the second is the higher it is, the higher the chance of the first card being a red one.
Final column, stamina?

Still analysing the first 3, but the 4th is definitely not stamina.

Zappa definitely doesn't allow 20 fouls before giving a card.

The 2nd column guess seems closer.

Come to think of it, I think that the referee differences in KO are:

Fouls allowed before giving a yellow card
Fouls allowed after the yellow, before giving a red card
Chance to directly give a red
Tendency to allow some player-knocking tackles

Anything else?

Results (before I forget ;))

Column 1

Probability of giving a card as the number of fouls for a player increases.

Column 2

If 200, then just give a straight red. If less than 200 and a card is given, then add onto the number of fouls the player has comitted, making a 2nd card more likely.

Column 3

If not giving a card then add this onto the number of fouls a player has committed, so more likely to get a card in future.

Column 4

Likeliness of a tackle being given as a foul.

Interesting

Code: Select all

 20 200  20  85  F. ZAPPA
  5   3   0  30  J. DANIELS
  4 200   0  80  S. SCREECH

Steve, according to your explanation, if I get booked by Zappa, I should always get a red. But iirc Zappa also gives yellow cards.

I've just played 10 minutes of constant fouling in a zappa game, and only got reds.

The maths does get a bit complicated in places, so I'm not ruling out yellows for zappa ;)

Zappa, Screech and Indi don't bother with yellow cards.

AVOID!
