I find the A 500 mini expensive

What Pi have you got? And what OS have you got on it?

Price could be a factor, also, reliability and the ease of plugging it into a modern TV and you just turn it on and it works out of the box. All of those are valid reasons why someone might.

Thanks dude! I would really appreciate it if you could give me pointers on a durable and usable installation I can use. I have the same Pi as you've got, but I've never managed to get any use out of it, because I haven't managed to find installations that I am able to (clever enough) to use. :)

Thanks. I'll give Raspbian a look and see if I can manage something...

I got an A500 Mini for Christmas! Technically it was paid for using my Game points, so it was a freebie, but still...

I haven't tested it using my Amiga joysticks and a USB adaptor yet, but I have got it running Workbench, and there are now loads of WHDL games installed, which work great. Kick Off 2 seems to work just fine, but controlling it with the supplied gamepad isn't the same as using a proper joystick.

I also ran WordPerfect on Workbench, but this is a Kick Off forum, so nobody cares about that. :)
