Postby Giuliano » Thu Dec 15, 2022 9:40 pm

Hello all,

I m frederic giuliano. New member on the forum.
I m very glad to be here. I didn t know that a world cup on Kick off were organized every years. It s wonderfull. I hope to play in the next world cup.

I live in BELGIUM, my father is italian and mh Mother belgian. i m 43 years old. I have been playing kick off since i was 12 years old on Amiga ;-)
When i was young, during holidays, i was playing 7 hors à day with my neightbours on kick off, and after we were playing 3hours on real football. It was so great.

Actually i m still playing kick off on my amiga 500 with my speedking joystick ( i m from the old school;-) )

I m very excited to participate to tournament, real or online:-)
I see that they are tournament on line, is it True?
How did you that? With emulator?
Do you have any advices for me to play ondine? With wich program? How ? What can i do?

Don t hesitate to speak with me , it will be a pleasure.

Thank you very much

Frederic

Hi and welcome!

I hope you will be able to make it to the next world cup in 2023, you have about 10 months to prepare for it :)

You can play KO2 online, any time, even right now! It is the real amiga game wrapped in a Windows shell. Just go to https://kickoff2.net and follow the instructions. Any problems, just ask me. :D

Hi Frederic!
And welcome aboard.
Nice of you to drop by. And so cool to see there are still people around, still playing the great game.

Agewise, you'll fit in nicely. :)

Frederic, WELCOME HOME!

The forum is not very active, but you can see pictures and read stories from our last World Cup, last month, and begin thinking about participating in the next one. In the meantime, if you have no one there to play with, there is the great Kick Off Online option.

If you read the Online-part of the forums, you'll find both how to download and access the client Steve made, and also a thread about joystick adapters.

Frederic's laptop runs Windows Vista which is too old for Unity hence the search for a suitable computer.

The first thing you should do is to get yourself an old joystick, one that you are familiar with.

If that doesn't work out for you then you can get more modern joysticks, but you will need to do some research to avoid disappointment.
