Sounds like Sid there Garry.

I thought these bits of your post were the giveaways:
I've got a number of queries about KO2 game play and some of its quirks which I'd like to post in future.

and
I've got a couple of ideas and suggestions myself

Maybe that you only said a couple of ideas threw you off the scent? A couple indeed.

No, it's someone who is posting mostly in the KO2 section, with also some videoclips of goals.

Hello, I'm registered since July 1st but it is my first post. During 6 months, I tried to launch KO2 online on my computer but with a lack of tehcnic, it always failed. But, in 2008, I did it. Actually...

So, about me... I'm french, 28 years old in less than a week, and addicted to Kick Off 2 since I was 10 years old. I played it a lot and a lot on my brave Atari 520 STe. When I was a kid, I dreamt about a KO World Cup... and what did I found in last July on Google : that you did it ! And that it was possible to play online ! So nice.

I hope I can play some games with you soon. But first, I have to run my paddle on KO2... It is not recognized (even if in menus it appears... still this lack of technic).

Thank you.

Ok, who's is this first post then?

I've just signed up and I'm totally confused by these forums, they are NOT very newbie-friendly.

Where are the geographic-specific forums so people can go straight to a UK/German/Italian section and look for active posters, local tournaments, people who live nearby?

Where is the "Newbies" section so newbies can introduce themselves, ask idiot questions without being flamed?

Where is the "Useful Info" section explaining terms like FAKO and LOKO and MOLOKO or whatever else which seem to crop up in loads of thread titles?

It's taken me about an hour to work out that there is some sort of small gathering (FAKO-LOKO whatever that means) in London in September, and a World Championship at the end of October, but I've no idea about who to contact and how if I wanted to go, or what it would involve, or what it will cost.

Anyway sorry to be critical with my first post but you did ask..!

I actually recognise this prickly first post ... it's noodles - who else would make a complaint when arriving at a new place! He keeps coming back so I think he's warmed to the place since ... :)
