Used to love KO2 back in the day, but haven't played it for years. Am putting that right now though and will be playing it a lot (if I can get an emulated version to work on my Mac).

Great to see you keeping the game alive and I hope to get to one of the tournaments this year.

Welcome to the forum, SirClive, and good to meet you at yesterday's RCM. :)

Well played on that title - and I'm sure there's more to come!Hopefully as you say you'll get chance to prove it at another tourney sometime. See my blue signature link for the latest KOA events.

Cheers

Hi All,

Older kick off player from Belfast via Holland.
Was searching for the keegan player manager instruction manual for snes (i've forgotten the buttons) and found this site, very pleasantly surpised that KO is still going.

Played KO, KO2, final whistle and most of the games that have been mentioned on this site, I havent downloaded any amiga emulators, but will do now soon.

Big smile on my face when I heard that there were KO tournies :)

Thanks all,
Im using windows XP, and I downloaded WinUAE as the emulator, kept everything as standard.
I get this Message from Win UAE
You need to have a floppy disk (image file) in DF0: to use the system ROM replacement.
Im not that technical, have I set this up wrong, it keeps asking to find roms?

Is there a step by step guide to using WinUAE or should i use another emulator?
Thanks
Danny

There should be plenty of tips on the web about using WinUAE. For legal reasons the emulator comes without the ROM file, the classic Kickstart 1.3 would do. And then you need the game as a floppy image, so ending as .adf (which is the norm, check out our own competition version, for example).

There's many here more technical than me Danny but here goes.... it sounds like you might not be using the right rom (try kickstartv1.3) and/or you haven't got KO2/KO2CV loaded as a floppy? Load WinUAE then press F12 to check your settings. For starters you could click 'quickstart' and let us know how your settings compares with mine which work for me....

I think Alkis may have a step-by-step guide (?) but I don't have a link right now. You can also check out this link for more pointers. Don't give up!

EDIT: After posting I've just seen that Alex has pretty much said the same thing! (Excuse the duplication but he must be a quicker at typing than me :) )

Hey all, finally got to register to the forum. Been playing ko2 for 25 years now with a good friend of mine, we play every week almost without fail.

But... we only play with the international teams, not A & B, so I think we're probably some way behind you guys in skill level, i guess we'll have to switch teams and get some practice in for some tournaments :D

hoping to see you guys in Dublin if I can get my passport and mrs in check ;)
