what exactly do you like and why do you feel it more kickoffish? :?:
It seems i should add this camera but do you prefer better gfx and less precision?

put a better picture of the default camera, with more players.
The second picture is more close to kick off!

I definitely prefer the angled cam. Cause of the reason that I have menteioned before - You easier see differences in heights.

The angled cam is also more Kick Off according to me. You get a view that is more similar to the KO2 view (which is angled).

could we get a beta update so we can testplay this new cam?

Is it difficult to make so that you can angle the cam your self pressing a specific button as in KO2002 so you get the angle that suits you perfectly?
Personally I think that the TI angled cam is to little angled.

but you lose precision in "real" coordinates...however it's a matter of taste.

no,no and again no! :P KO2 is a 2D and it is necessary a perfect top-view....but the players and the goals are a little bit tilted to give you a depth sensation.

i'm sorry no it is not possible, but i will have many testers in Milan.

I want to avoid to have too many cameras. I prefer few standard options.
My job is to program the most playable game and honestly with the angled camera you lost too much precision and i often miss the ball. Tilting more the camera will cause a dramatic gameplay...so the answer is no (official answer).
But the unofficial answer is that i can put some secret keywords to type in the game to let you place the camera where you want.
I hope you understand, i care about you (this why i will put keywords in the game) but your preferred settings doesn't match my ideas and my beliefs.

no probs, Gianluca. :)

As long as you dont include a 300 limit I will not complain.

just some more questions.

1. Whats the release date?
2. Will there be any more graphicsupdates? (such as stadium etc)
3. Are there any teameditor in the game where you can create 'real' players and teams?
4. How difficult is the AI (Whats your results against it?)

I am looking forward to play you guys online. :)

I hope that we will see more hype around this game closer to the release cause from what I have tested so far 'Throw In' is definitely worthy a great stir.

1) Maybe mid 2005
2) Yes there will be gfx updates. Stadium, different pitches. It depends if i'm good to do it :D
3) I will do it
4) AI is really primitive but it has some potential. The major part of football games you watch CPU while carry the ball and CPU ball possession is about 70%...
The best part of ThrowIn AI is that let you play and if you are enough good you can perform some good moves like dribblings...but you should be good to protect the ball with your body! :D My results are something about 3-3 but AI is weak in defending through long balls and CPU often kicks the ball out of bounds.I guess CPU could be heavy improved...
I would like also to program easier difficult levels for the rookies.

About online game i may disappoint you but the game is too much fast and requires too much precision to be played online...maybe only ADSL users could enjoy it. However my plan is to realize an alternative mode with an easier control and slow pace for the ones who don't know KO2 and for the guys which don't have a fast connection.

Thanks for the kind words

Gianluca, I understand your reasons for not going for a free camera when playing. But will you include a free roaming camera in replay mode?
I mean one that you can rotate, tilt and zoom?

Can you play any games online if you dont have at least ADSL (0,5 Mb/s) ????

I played Goal with my previous ADSL 0,5 Mb/s and there were no delay at all.

This summer I updated to 10Mb/s so I am really prepered for some action. :D

Nice to here that you will make a stadium. :)

Very good to hear that you're making some effort to create a good replay facility, Gianluca! Since I'm a player that doesn't score as many beauties as you do with KO2, I'm relying heavily on the replays to extend my joy when it does happen

I hope you have looked well at the replay function in KO2002 with the ball tracing and the VCR buttons (play/pause/fast forward and so on).
