There is more info here than on the Facebook page. Damn, now I have to visit the KOA again! ;-)
Good luck with developing the new benchmark in footy gaming, Gianluca :-)

Looks nice!
Just a question about the game: which kind of joystick is supported?
I mean, AS1 is a 2 buttons + analogic control so I expect it will be a game that will be handled by analogic stick like Xbox controller.
I'm wondering if it will be a way to play with Amiga Joystick.
Thanks

Hoping for a 1-button alternative yes.

The game is designed to be played for both 360 analog sticks and 8 direction sticks supporting 2 buttons.
Anyway I could add 1 button controls, yes I could do it :-)

I'd live with 2 buttons :)

Would it be possible to choose your preferred control method in the settings?
You could have the following control methods:
1. Press button A to pass, press button B to shoot (2 buttons, like in Active Soccer 1)
2. Press button A to pass, hold button A to shoot (1 button, like in SWOS)
3. Press button A to shoot, hold button A to pass (1 button, similar to KO2 but without releasing the button i.e. no trapping)

You only say that because there is snow in the screenshot!
I wished Gerie was still here, he would have kept talking about it...

Haha! No.
I wanna be careful about saying this, but the screen-shots reminds me of ko2002, and what was to be ko2004. A game I truly loved :-)

I was also one of the fortunate ones who joined the beta-testing for KO 2004.
And I agree that Active Soccer brings back memories from those days.

Personally I think that the gameplay on the pitch is better in AS.
Maybe it's not fair to compare it to a game that is 10 years older, but in AS there is more diversity in plays and goals.
I am convinced that combined with a career mode it will be a game with longlasting replay value.

I'm so excited about the full career simulation feature! It's something I've been waiting for almost twenty years: a proper retro-style fooball game with a player-management option. I'm still playing Player Manager and SWOS, which of course are still awesome but lack any kind of challenge.
Remember, remember, the 4th and the 3rd of November

Alkis, i am developing career mode starting from SWOS experience. What i love is the perfect integration between championships, and the feeling you get as be a manager of a team. I am trying to recreate that experience including custom tournaments + adding some nice extra features.

What I really liked about the SWOS careermode is that the team you build gets a 'personality'. The players look different and have distinguished qualities. You remember how hard it was to get the money to buy that star player, the goal he scored in the cup final, etc.
A lot of the reward should come from gloating over your success in the league and cups and looking at the skills and stats of your squad.
And now it will be combined with the great and fun gameplay of Active Soccer!
