What's in 0.007 ?

Postby CharlieP » Fri Sep 09, 2005 8:49 am

From the wishlist thread, it seems that this will be in the 007 beta:-

    new crowd graphics
new pitch graphics with sandy spots
    mouse driven menus
    some bug fixes
    better AI
    diving headers
    overhead kicks
    aftertouch goal kicks
    aftertouch penalties
    more sensitive selectable power
    players height
    players stamina
    players header power
    stadium
    papers
    collision bug fixed

This was the wishlist for 0.007:-

set custom keys only once in the options screen and not before every match (and also do not ask for custom keys when starting the replay viewer)
show goalscorer list after the match (names and minutes)
show time from 1-90 minutes like in real life
select replays with cursor keys or a menu instead of typing in the filename
add injury time (0-5 minutes) depending on number of fouls
add substitutions (first version: with number and arrow keys like in KO; later versions: select players from an in-game menu)
add injuries (forced substitution of a player)
    fix corner flag position bug
    tactics editor!
    new menusystem

also wished for:-

Different pitch types - muddy, snow etc...
    Play in Position
    Team Editor
Proper throw ins - Height selectable, after all its the name of the game !
    Netplay ;)

and this is my Wishlist for the future:-

    Free kick Editor:

Allow 4 (or more) user designed (savable) free kick setups, both for the attacker and the defender - This way you can choose
Where each player stands when attacking and defending a free kick... i.e. The defender can put a player on the post, define if a
player in the wall should attack the ball or jump! The attacker can place someone in the wall who will go to the side to receive
the ball.... The possibilities with this are endless!

    Corner Editor: Same as above

    Replay Cams:

Stand Cam, Goal Cam, Ball Cam :)

    Carreer Mode:

Starting with in-game leagues and then progressing into a full blown Management addition and then we will have Throw-In Player Manager!

mouse driven menus - not yet (it's not finished)
some bug fixes - many bug fixes
better AI - unfortunately it is still poor, i must program the AI from scratch soon
    diving headers - yes
    overhead kicks - yes
    aftertouch goal kicks -yes
    aftertouch penalties - yes
more sensitive selectable power -yes, there is also a powerbar now
    players height - yes
    players stamina - yes
    players header power -yes
    stadium - only marketboarding
papers - yes but they must be redone
    collision bug fixed - yes

This was the wishlist for 0.007:-

set custom keys only once in the options screen and not before every match (and also do not ask for custom keys when starting the replay viewer)
show goalscorer list after the match (names and minutes)

    Play in Position
    Team Editor
Proper throw ins - Height selectable, after all its the name of the game ! [b]0.07 has new throw-in system. You can raise the ball with aftertouch. (altough it has a flickering bug)
    Netplay ;)

    Corner Editor: Same as above

Foxy, you said that the stadium was not going to be in the next beta, but I've seen it in some replays and screenies..... Is there a problem with it, or something else.

Also, what is the problem with the networking?, I noticed you tried to test it, but it failed :(, maybe we can help to get it fixed!

The old stadium was not so good.
The new stadium is in progress and is developed by Danne. It's not yet finished so there are only marketboards

it seems a Blitz3D bug. I'll work on it later ;-)

Maybe you can ask Havre_Munken. He wanted to implement the online play in KO 2004. However Steve choosed to not do that implementation. Munken works with online play in his profession so he should know how these things work. 8)
