LOGIN PROBLEMS FOR AOL users. Fix please

Postby Danne » Sun Apr 13, 2003 10:25 am

One of our most active users, garinho cant log in on the forum any more because of that he uses AOL.

I am pretty sure that there are more previous active members that cant log in any more...

In this time where the gathering looses active members every day it is extremely important that those who wants to be in here has a chance to do that....

To fix the registration page was one step. GREAT WORK MANICX!!!!

To fix the AOL problem would be another important thing to fix..

I dont know how difiicult it is to fix..

Am I realistic if I think that the AOL users will be able to login before this summer???

Danny, I tried to solve this problem for m1hampton and garinho. m1hampton changed his provider. AOL SUCKS. They are using the AOL browser, that's why they have problems. I think it has to do with cookies, but by not being able to test it I can't say anything. I've tested things with cookies and if you are using more than one computer to access the forums, then I do not recommend clicking on the tick box for logging in automatically. I believe that garinho should contact AOL and hassle them to tell him how to use Netscape. Don't forget that Netscape is owned by AOL, yet the runty bastards are using their own crap s/w. I think he should ask for a refund from them by demonstrating that he can't access the forums...

Anyone who uses the default AOL browser should be dragged into the street, have a sign hung around their necks and they should be forced to ring a bell and shout 'Unclean'

Even that shit netscape is better ffs...

Look man, Netscape 7 is the best browser at the moment. More secure, 3-4 times faster and as compatible as IE6 (the opposite cannot be said). In my work, everyone in the IT dept was using the GAY IE but now they all use Netscape because if there is an error, say in a ASP page (microsoft's technology BTW), Netscape returns a full message about the problem whereas IE6 returns a blank page... GAY!!!
