ko-gathering: promote your site, submit a banner

Postby Danny D » Sat Apr 12, 2003 6:55 am

As part of the redesign of ko-gathering.com we are implementing a banner rotation scheme. The aim of this is to promote alternative ko2 sites. The banner will rotate on every page load giving everyone to oppertunity to promote their site.

If you would like to participate and promote your site ,you will need to submit you banner.Below are the details...

468 x 60 pixels.
Your banner can be flash, gif or animated gif.

Have a look at the bottom of http://www.ko-gathering.com .See that banner. That's the idea.Note that the only banners permitted are links to ko related sites. No commerical ads.

Banner owners will also have detailed stats ec..

banners

Postby Jubigala » Sat Apr 19, 2003 8:15 am

Cheers Danny..

Thanks for putting up my ForeverKickoff banner.

Can i have more than one banner in the rotation?

I want to make a flash banner, or a flash intro, that can be linked from the flash banner.

Does that make any sense?

I also sent you a great flash intro design website.

Have you used / seen it yet?

Regards,
Jubigala

Thanks for the banners everyone.
As regards flash , it's fine for banners as long as it isn't that big.To be fair to the others , only one banner per person is the fairest.I will also send all banner owners a link where they can look at the statistics for their banners.

Banners

Postby Jubigala » Mon Apr 21, 2003 6:34 am

Thanks Danny. Btw, the site look cool. I do especially want the map! 8)

I'll put a link to it on my site. I have no doubt, that is one of the best features i have seen on a website, anywhere on the internet. :D

Good work Danny and co. :D

Do you have a links page, or are banners the idea of replacing it?

Is KO-G now run by yourself? i saw no mention of Tim or the others from the original KO-G. Glad to see your sites features incorporated into KO-G..

Good work fella 8)

Garhino,
ko-gathering.com is administered by Tim ,Danny and Nikos (ManicX).Tim doesn't have the time nowadays so it's basically me and Nikos.I did all the html and scripts you are looking at.Nikos admins the board interface and the mysql backend.Nikos also modifys the html if needs be.Flippo is hosting alot of the downloads for us as we have very little space here.Stainy ,myself ,Alkis and Nikos have editor rights for the news posting.I hope to spread the rights around to reduce my work burden and to get others involved.
