ERM, I AM THE MODERATOR AND SO-CALLED PLAYER MANAGER EXPERT HERE BUT.....
While I'm getting the Amiga emulator to work, I want to start asking some general Q's about PM/KO2. As I mentioned I have the original games for the ST from early 90's and palyed them to death. Recently got into mobile computing and with space limitations, could do with these games accessible via emulators on the laptop. But anyway, I transgress.
I remember having some really successful teams in PM and getting over £Million in bank; gettting to Div 1 and getting sacked mercilessly even though winning! This was so annoying and after hours of play leaves you deflated - enough to stop playing for a while. Any ideas on this trait?
NO IDEA, WERE YOU WINNING THE LEAGUE AND CUP? THE BOARD'S EXPECTATION IS IN LINE WITH YOUR SQUAD AND MONEY.
Also, I have a PM Cheat that should allow you to change all the settings of a .sav game but it doesn't run for me. Any other known cheat modes?
HEX EDITING PLAYERS, BUT WHY BOTHER CHEATING?
I also have the team editor app which is quite good, but doesn't translate properly between the different games - KOFF/Final Whist etc. I have Winning Tactics too, and they get all screwed up when played in FW too...?
ERM YES, BASICALLY PM TEAMS DON'T TRANSLATE TO FW. ALLEGEDLY 'FLAIR' IS A NEW ATTRIBUTE ONLY IN FW, BUT THEN WE HAVE DETECTED THIS IN KO2. BUT MAYBE IT DOES NOT EXIST IN PLAYER MANAGER. WHO KNOWS? POSSIBILITY IS THAT THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN THE NUMBER OF ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS AND THIS SOMEHOW RUINS THE FILE IMPORT.
FOR TACTICS, THAT'S EASIER, BECAUSE WINNING TACTICS (ADD ON TO FW) HAD TWO SEPERATE TACTICS IN ONE - BASED ON WHETHER YOU HAD THE BALL OR NOT. I DOUBT THAT PM TACTICS WERE COMPATIBLE AS THEY WEE NOT MADE ON THIS DUAL TACTIC PRINCIPLE.
What else? errmmm, perhaps you can let me know what I've miised?
WHY DOES THE BALL RUN UNDER YOUR FEET IN THE PENALTY AREA BUT NOT OUTSIDE OUT? :lol:
Sadly under the ST emulator STEEM, I am getting bad pixels for the platers (two col only inc white!) and the arrow/cursor keys don't map nor either the W P A S and Z keys nor the PC joystic AND the up down value settings for buying selling players! A bit essential don't you think!!
YES, THAT IS WHY WE ALL OWN AMIGAS OR ST'S. YOU CAN BUY THEM FOR <£20 ON EBAY IF YOU LOOK WELL. THESE MACHINES ARE GREAT....IT'S ALMOST LIKE THEY ARE PURPOSE BUILT EMULATORS FOR ST AND AMIGA GAMES.
