Well Steve, if we (you :) ) can somehow use WinUAE to embed KO2 on it, run it as a simple executable and pass it parameters from an external source (command line? config file? I don't know), then we could do something more interesting (and I could help with the development).

Or maybe make an open management engine and use at will suitable game engines? (Amiga KO2? Throw-In?)

 interesting

Steve Camber wrote:OK, Amiga it is then. I like a challenge :)

Writing it on PC would mean quicker progress, with limitless possible features, and a decent sized development team.

Maybe the PC can be the 2nd PM project, after the Amiga! :?:

Nah PC guys.

Steve if its Pc what will you be programming the PC add on in ?
If there is anyway of compiling c++ to bolt onto the assembler kick off engine i am well up for helping develop this.

Plus i AM sure ALL other people would help with artwork and the player database.

And PC Would GIVE THIS PLACE THE MUCH NEEDED BOAST PEOPLE ARE MOANING ABOUT.

So its PC 1000%

Also if its PC is there not away to revamp the game graphics/sprites?

Yes, the PC option would be a C/C++ app based upon the winUAE source code.

Internally we would have PM/KO2 running under winuae, with our app as a shell around it. I already know exactly what's going on in the game, ball position, player position + action (all 22), camera position etc. So it's simple to display this using our own graphics. Even in 3D. Some sort of networking becomes achievable too. We could also create our own menu system / league / cup / management part.

The thing about WinUAE is though, that's it's still only an Emulator, not real hardware and because of that it's not exactly a stable platform for everyone. Does it really run KO2 perfectly on a PC without tweaking about with configs etc.?

Are you saying we can also play ON-LINE real-time gaming if it were on PC??

How about two projects?

1) KO2 gameplay inserted into PM on the Amiga. (raises hand)

2) KO2 running on PC with WinUAE technology inside a shell developed by the full force of KOA programming talent, giving new graphics, menu system, management feature, sound, internet connectivity. Identical gameplay. Volunteers?
