ko vs pes4?

Postby jbounias » Fri Jan 07, 2005 7:10 am

hello everyone,
I ve spent 4 days with pes4 , with its 500 mb patch with official teams with every known upgrade whatsoever and..... man its a frustratingly stupid game , no matter how much time you spend on this visual miracle you never actual control anything. For me is like watching the sunday's maches highlights in a sports tv broadcast in replay.
(someone could say its a beatyfull blonde silikonized babe with the IQ of a slug) ok whats bad with such a babe?
I supose nothing, but everything is a matter of taste and challenge.
Slugs make good pets  though
i still love my ko2002

Well having not played PES4 yet i can not 100% agree.
However! I suspect this to be true which is why i am yet to play it.
But i had hoped it would have more involvment than the fifa series?!

Alos not really a fan of KO 2002, admitidly not played it much, but thats because my first impressions just felt all wrong for it :(

Another case for my Kick off Classic :)

only for ''fun''

Postby jbounias » Fri Jan 07, 2005 9:43 am

Pes is ages in front of fifa and everyone who canot adapt to ko should try it but doctors recomemd ko2002 believe me its too good.
PES is a fun game but ko is sport or a hobby (call it both)

KO Vs PES4? Well it depends on what KO game you are talking about. KO2002 is no where near as good as PES4. Not even in the same league. As time goes on however, it seems to be growing proof that KO2 will never be bettered by any game. As for doctors recommending KO2002, well, I can only say I'm glad I am not their patient.

They're too different to compare. Both are fantastic for completely different reasons, so there's little point in saying one is better than the other or vice versa just beacuse they are Football games.

ko vs pes ?

Postby jbounias » Tue Jan 11, 2005 9:31 am

I am not comparing these games ( that what ? stands for) dont miss the whole picture. what if both games' advantages were combined? is it possible? do we need it? or its good playing both for complete satisfaction.Although i am a fan of ko i feel half not playing or at least give a look to pes.
Its like having both awife and a mistress
So critisizing is not OUR issue neither comparing.
I also dont compare 2002 with 2 , things have to progress and its good for ko to progress . The only way and its oneway is through pc, so dont compare ko2 with ko2002, its a disaster and a big holdback . I for one have been praying for a ko in pc...

I have spent lots of time playing PES4 (the XBOX version mianly, but also many PS2 matches). It is surely very enjoyable and it gives you a feeling that if you master it, you 'll be able to pull some amazingly innovative plays. However, I can't help feeling that the game tries to make things look realistic, sometimes leaving the players not much in control.

OK man - what about the original KO2 (played on Amigas of course)? From time to time (not so frequently anymore unfortunately) we have some little KO tournaments in Athens - are you interested in coming in one?

This is a good question. Dino Dini is working on "Soccer 3" a game is mixing both aspects. Filippo was the only one playing the previous project "Soccer 2" and he told me wonderful aspects about it.
I really think "Soccer 3" will be the game of my life... :D
