This news are outdated, and not exactly big, but I thought I'd write about it anyway. I had written an e-mail to PC Master telling them about the UPM project. As they never replied, I didn't think they cared. However, a friend of mine told me that they had written about it in the previous issue. Just my e-mail and a one-line comment, but it's better than nothing. Here it is:

Alkis Polyrakis informs us about the latest developments on KO02 and Steve Screech:

Hello to all. The KO02 review was very good and I believe it will attract plenty of people. The gameplay has returned to its purest form, and finally we have the chance to play a very good football game instead of watching the computer move. I'd like to inform you that you can download real teams here: http://www.ko2002.co.uk
You will find the Greek league (with fan sounds and anthems!), English (Premiership + Div 1,2,3), French, Italian, Spanich, national teams and more. You can also download the latest patch (v1.32) which corrects some bugs and adds new features (such as a new pitch and play in position!). I'll have to warn you that the patch improved the computer's AI drastically, so it is not advised for amateurs. And it will only work on original CDs.
Furthermore, we are preparing for our next game, Ultimate Player Manager, which will practically be the sequel to the old Amiga PM with KO02's gameplay. As we are tired of relying on other publishers, we decided to finance the game ourselves! Yes, that's right, maybe they called us romantic, outdated and other stuff but we are convinced that we will succeed. Whoever is interested can buy a share for 40EU from Steve Screech, which will buy him a copy of the final version, all the beta versions, his name in the credits, his say to what goes or does not go in the game and profits! As always, for anything Kick Off related visit our site at http://www.ko-gathering.com/.

PCM: The idea is original to say the least, and our wish is for it to be succesful. The gamers take control in their hands!
Remember, remember, the 4th and the 3rd of November
