What happened to the game of shame?

Postby Bounty Bob » Tue Nov 16, 2004 11:26 am

Looks like I was actually the lowest points scoring player in the group stages with 2 points. I did make it to the second round of the KOA cup it was only by virtue of a by when Sandro withdrew. I then lost both legs of the match that I played.

So what happened to the game of shame? Surely I would have been a prime candidate with 14 games played and only 2 draws managed? Oh well, at least things can only improve next year.

Not that it really matters though, I had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed meeting everybody and playing Kick Off against someone other than Haydn. I shall avoid naming names for fear of missing anyone, but will say that everyone I spoke to was extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome as a world cup newcomer. Thank you to you all.

Hi Mark,
You were indeed rather runty this year but these things happen.I wasn't in contention for the game of shame but wasn't far ahead of you. From my calculations the following people were holding up the bottom of the league and it appears that the game of shame would have been between yourself and Jorn (FreshMaker). RUNTY !!!!!

Seems right. But what was the rules for the Game of Shame? Who should play? The worst two from day one, or the worst from day one and the worst from day two? I can't remember, and it seems noone else could either. I'd like my chocky, and I'd eat it to. :D I did go to 2. round of the KOA-Cup though....

I fucked up. This should have been played on Day One while everyone was still there. But because we had a full programme for the day one losers, then it seemed better to do it towards the end of Day Two. But we ran out of time.

A tradition has been broken. The game of shame must be reinstated next year. At the end of this week, Spyros and myself will attempt to gather all the results and update the KOA database. At the same time we will calculate the most shameful performance and ask Filippo to post the new shirt to the shameful person.

I think coz Robert admitted that 'He Fucked Up' then he should be the shirt of Shame winner?

Who agrees?

Also I never realised Bounty Bob was Bishop, but now I do :)
No longer the only UK based Liverpool, Nottingham Forest and Crewe supporter in the whole of the KOA!!!

I still have the shirt of shame, so all you need is just send me your address!

Of course you'll have to send us back your pictures with the t-shirt!!
Anyway the game of shame is something funny only for the people that doesn't attend the game, I saw a lot of players really worried to end in that game and I really didn't want to humiliate anyone, at the end nobody claim to play the game of shame so it didn't happen.
I'm more happy to send the shirt now to the player with the worst performance then to organize a game for the "worst Kick Off player"

I'd happily wear the shirt of shame. At least I can't do any worse next time.
