I paid £360 for my A1200 in 1993.

Steve! £26?

At that sort of price no-one has any excuse - buy an Amiga now! The ST and PC boys mainly got wasted at Dartford, let that be a lesson. Buy buy buy!

finally managed to get me an A1200 at 34.50. A bit expensive compared to what i read here but its for a good cause.
Saw your bid for the other one Steve, 19 quid atm is ok but might go rising at the last day.

This guy made a 50p bid higher than my max one minute before the end of the auction, that sucks, how did he manage to guess my highest bid and offer only 50p more? Hope ebay doesnt cheat on that.

Anyway, i managed to get it in the last seconds, seems to be in a good condition, hopefully one of the games will be kick off 2 and it has a joystick. Ready to get in shape after a few years of absence.

By the way, are we going to play KO2 1 meg version or the older one? Anybody knows?

I haven't played a single KO2 match since I got back. I did play a few Player Manager ones though.
As for Steve Camber's performance, I wouldn't be fooled by it. After playing against him and watching him play against other people on Friday evening, I thought he was a mediocre player. He was a hell of a lot better in the tournament, though. He's born for big matches only! <IMG SRC="/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

Bill. It's the basic version of Kick Off 2. If you don't have a copy, someone on here can supply you with one (as long as none of the Anco boys call F.A.S.T. after reading this).

Thanks Alkis - I guess it's the pressure of the tournament that raises my game somewhat.

Dan is no pushover, he's got a very solid defence and is deadly on the break. I apologise in advance for unleashing him upon the rest of you at the Gloucester tournament !

Argh, he's not another 5-3-2 bastardo is he Steve? We need a think tank on 5-3-2 beating strategy - see the 'Defence Surpise' thread. Welcome Dan, now you've beaten Mr. Camber the only way is down! Wait till you face the Beards, Nazim and myself.....

After another solid couple of performances against the Camber 5-2 and 4-2 I feel I might have to retired through injury.

Hopefully a weekends rest will see me back to full strength

The best are still out there, right?
Well, let me see your performance in an official tournament first and then I'll be convinced.

TO be honest guys I prefer not to stick to a formation.

I like playing the 4-2-4 but will switch depending on the chances I am creating.

I gurantee I won't stay in one formation for the whole match, or at least not two games on the trot.

I prefer to move the players around a bit so that the opposition can't settle into a defencive style. It makes it harder when you first swap but as long as you get used to playing in two or three formations it shouldn't hamper you and is guranteed to create more chances.

If the player I am playing is great at dealing with my wing play (in 424) I will switch to 442 and play it around in midfield instead.
If I feel the opp is getting too much space going forward I will bring in 5 at the back and counter attack.

Also been known to lob a 4-3-3 in but that is just when I haven't had a breakthrough towards the end of a tight match, just gives a bit more control in the centre and still gives you an option to go out wide.

I went on Ebay before and there are about 6 A1200 all nearly out of time and all around the tenner mark.

No doubt the last minute bidder will up the price but shouldn't be any problem getting one for 20 squiddlies.
