The Holidy Inn Express in Gloucester can do us a room for the tournament which will cost 360 pounds for the two days.

Accomodation for a room will cost 45 pounds per room and can cope with up to two people in each.

I can only get a discount if i prebook 20 rooms or more. This will be a mere 5 pounds discount per room.

Leave your name here if you are interested and I will book it up when we get enough interest.

We can split the cost of the tournament room between all competitors unless someone wants to sponsor the event.

I am sure I can talk them down a bit on the function room but there is NO NEED for me to try this until I get enough interest.

I'm glad to hear that there's such an interest for a tourney just some days after the Dartford experience! Well done British lads! Well done James!

Me me me me me..

I'm up for that. Sounds like a complete bargain for a whole weekend of manic fun with all my new KO2 buddies.

Excellent effort Mr Beard. I confirm my attendance, willingness to pay, and intention to crush all opponents.

The haggling has only just started, however. £5 off is Ok but not a great deal. Typical 'initial offer'.

My suggestions are:

1) We get them to quote a specific price for 20 rooms. THEN we go back and say, actually make that 32 rooms, what's the price reduction on the initial offer? Will they go down to £35 per room? Or knock something off the Conference room maybe?

2) We tell them that Forte/Travelodge/Hilton are all offering £30-£35 for similar rooms. We'd like to use Holiday Inn but they need to match the price.

3) If they win this order, we'll come back next year.....

Sorry to harp on about this but I suppose it natural, as I'm at work and I negotiate prices for a living. Some of the UK players are students or unemployed, so any saving we can make is a bonus. We can't expect Mr. Screech to sub us for eternity. Really we should give him a complimentary room!

Robert Swift, the bussiness man! You better listen to that guy! His suggestions are realy good!
Maybe you should add an "Official Tournament Arrangement Nagotiator" in your signature mate! I can tell now how you've managed to create so strong PM teams!!!

Phew, 21st is my Daughters Birthday and 18th was my G/F's birthday.

23/4th is great!

I will be there count me in as a definite and let me know when we need to send some money.

45quid a room is well steep, but sharing makes it ok.

Bagsie I share with any female competitors that we get!!!

On a serious note tho, the 'real' gathering was well organised, ie we had a read only thread with competitors names, payers and rules etc. I think we should do the same here.

So if someone can sort out a couple of read only threads and compile a list of entrants.

Also as we saw in the last gathering people did drop out or didn't bother getting in touch nearer the date etc, so I think we should be careful not to overbook rooms etc.

More than willing to help out if you need me, but I will be there 110% if it goes ahead.

Bet the women in Gloucester are far scarier than those in Dartford

I know a few people down in Glos (our main Computer centre is there) and I do admit some of the women are Class A.

As for Cromwell street, no thank you I think I would rather brave the pubs.

Nice to see the topic you posted with the confirmed gatherers in. Nice one mate...
