I realy don't want to leave. I've been searching for smomething like this for about 10 years. It won't be wise for me to leave...I'll come up with something.

@Vasilis, well don't leave if you don't really want to. If you have tried to apologise to Alkis and he's not interested I don't see what else you can do mate. Shame.

@James, count me in for Official Filmmaker of the KOA UKO 2002 Tournament <IMG SRC="/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">:)

I got Win XP installed, and Premiere 6. It detected my camcorder beautifully, and I've got all my footage onto HD now.

I'll expect great things from you Ely by Monday !

James

May I make a suggestion? Please can you give the Holiday Inn near you a call?

They are currently running scared from lack of tourists and travellers, so now is a good time to ring. They should give us a good price - we've already used the Dartford one for The Gathering (although I think it's Express Holiday Inn - make sure it's the same chain). If they want to keep our business, they ought to give a heavy discount, especially pre-booking so far in advance.

See what price each they can do based on 16 rooms, 24 rooms, 32 rooms. If we speak to someone in charge we must be able to get them down to £20 each. A competitive quote might help. There are five weekends in March so if we avoid the Easter weekends then they are basically selling spare capacity and will kiss our b*tt.

The sooner we have a date the sooner I can draw up my practise schedule and book my KO2 lessons with Alkis.

PS Tell them we want free orange juice and a massive conference room with projectors and soundproof doors.

Steve have you tried 'export'ing any footage out using the DivX Codec ??? I have downloaded 4.?? and intend to try that later tonight or over the weekend. This is the thing I was having trouble with. Also how pukka is your version of Premiere ? Mine is the 30Day Trial with a Cracked EXE !!!

Mr Swift has a very good point.

The major lack of money in the tourism trade in the UK at the moment is from lack of Americans coming over. If we could convince Dan to make it over we could tell the holiday inn we have 'several' american guests and they would well go for it.

16 people on a dead weekend in March, got to be a serious saving in there...

The friggin Marriott Courtyard in the centre of Toronto (dead nice, I've been twice) is only 19pound per person in March so a bloody Holiday inn in Gloucester has got to be cheaper than that.

Lets get it booked, tell me where to send my Cash.

I doubt you'll get a lot off the price, even with the bulk booking i made i still didn't get anything off the rooms. On the other hand i didn't use a sawn off when i negotiated the price!
