Oh man! I will never forget that 'shirt of shame' match! hahaha
30 people pointing to Andy and Niels and constantly kept shouting SHAAMMMEEE and so on... I immediately start to laugh when I think of it again...
Hopefully Andy and Niels liked it also though

I don't think the 'game of shame' was enjoyable at all for either competitor. It must have been an awful situation to have to endure, for the rest of us it was very funny and it was one of the highlights of the tournament. I don't think it was easy for Niels and i give him huge respect for the way he took it all. It couldn't have been easy.
Respectful Shaaaaaaaaaaaame!

I think Niels learned a lot here(like me too). He could improve his style intensely.

Niels, I want to see you in athens, but this time not with the shirt of shame.

Niels is a friend of mine and i have 2 say on the Atari he is even very good, i think he was nervous or couldnt play on the amiga, i found it hard also. No shame on Niels, he's a great guy and the shirt is pretty cool
cya next year, we will take good care of the shirt in holland so it still looks nice next year when Alkis can put it on

I can understand how you Atari people had problems, I'd probably finish last in an Atari tournament. That's why I was impressed by Gunther's performace.

Thank you Alkis! There were other ST players in the tournament who played better the me.
My first contact with the Amiga was a practicematch against Nazim. It was no fun for me, but I needed to learn the amiga.
I had problems with the fact that the amiga version has nets in the goal, so I sometimes couldn't see where the keeper stood.
In the last seconds of my game against Klaus Lederer (I was 3-2 down, and I needed a draw) my attacker was standing in the box with the ball at his feet and the Klauskeeper came out. I released a shot and I was sure it would go in. But then the Amiga keeper stopped the shot. I couldn't believe it, on the ST this would have gone in for sure.
I also think that shots from out of the box go in more easily. Niels told me in the beginning of the tournament, but I didn't believe it. In the last seconds of my match against Martin Beard, his words came back into my mind, and scored with a long range shot from that would never have gone in on the Atari ST. Thank you Niels!
