NO-ONE gets past my back number 5 in 4-2-4 unless they do something pretty special.

No-one gets even *near* my no. 5 <IMG SRC="/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif"> <IMG SRC="/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif">

Camber you just made me laugh out loud at work with that comment "unless you do something special".....like from the kick off push the joystick up until you walk past the number 5 without a challenge and score.
You seem a good tactitionist (???) Robert - I'd like to see one of your designed teams against someone elses'.....

Martin

I doubt whether anyone else will bring a disk of Player Manager teams and tactics. I've not heard anyone else on here talking about it.

You can make much stronger teams by buying one player per season with a value of 1000k. How do you find such players? Easy, simply restart the season until one is generated. Teams of these 'supermen' will crush the normal teams. They are faster, push normal players over, don't get as tired, and kick the ball accurately.

We have eight such teams (all named after English league sides i.e. Liverpool, Arsenal etc.)

If you want the disk with these and the tactics on, I'll gladly DCOPY you one. You can have all our hard work in 20 seconds' copying. That offer extends to everyone!

As far as the tactics go, when you've built your ideal tactic in PM, tested it and refined it, you get an attention for small details. It may sound really sad, but years of playing against the same person means that your weaknesses are spotted and exploited repeatedly until you defeat them with a new tactic design. It's like evolution. I've been looking at 4-2-4 in PM and there are gaps all over the place. The attack is quite well-organised though, so I expect some high-scoring games. I think I'll stick with 5-3-2 and change if I go a goal down.

But now I'm giving too much away.....

You're wrong Robert. I've posted a thread asking you guys to bring as many data disks as possible. I'll bring mine.

Robert I look forward to watching your elite team take on Vasilis' elite team in a friendly contest.

Should be great fun.

Does Vasilis or anyone else normally use a home-made team? Wait till you've seen ours - they're invincible.

I don't know, do you have an invincible team? (and I don't mean one you hex-edited to have 200 for all stats)

Hang on Robert you are sounding scared now! I thought you said your team was (more!) invincible???? What difference would it make if your opposition were all god-like players?

I'm talking about a nice team, with average players. No supermen. Actually a brand new 3rd division team, at the first session. Nothing extravagant.

OK I should admit mine are a little better than that, Vasilis. They would murder a new Div 3 side.

In PM terms they:

1) Win Div 1 and the Cup every year on 'Result Only'
2) Rate as 10/10 in all areas
3) All players worth over 1000k

I'll make some copies of the disk - I'd love to get people using them. We have: Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle, Leeds, Forest, Southampton, Tottenham. I think I have all the stats on an excel spreadsheet somewhere - I'll print these out.

I think that the International team in KO2 is probably equivalent to a reasonable Div 1 side. Pace/Stamina around 150 to 170, for example. We generally don't use players with Pace or Stamina less than 190-200. Your div 3 team would be around 100-150 Pace/Stamina (I'd just run past them), and probably have very few players with Shooting over 130. They won't be able to kick the ball straight most of the time.
