After considering what seemed to be the majority's will, I designed the drawing formula which we will use in the tournament.
The idea was to have as less compatriots in the same group as possible.
I divided the competitors in 8 groups of 4 or 5:

Group 1:Steve Screech, Anthony Kyne, Carl Norman, Michael Qureshi

Group 2:Mark Holliday, Simon Beard, James Beard, Andy Middleton

Group 3:Gunther Wening, Jan Tijssen, Niels Tijssen, Pim Vink

Group 4:Mark Poelstra, Riemer Poelstra, Tim Klifman, Kees van den Berg

Group 5:Gianluca Troiano, Fillippo Della Bianca, Fabio Artuso, Jacob Kofoed

Group 6:Alkis Polyrakis, Vasilis Kafiris, George Koumoutsos, Helmut Hausmann, Klaus Lederer

Group 7:Oliver Shleede, Danny Dinneen, Darren Gurney, Nazim Choudhury, Mark Elliott

Group 8:James Lockerbie, Robert Swift, Simon Butt, Steve Camber

These names will be put in 8 different jars (or boxes or potato chips bags, whatever we can find), one jar for each group. Each one of the 4 first round groups of the tournament will be formed by drawing one name out of each jar. Therefore there's no way two people from the same jar can be drawn in the same group, for example Gunther will not compete with Jan, Niels or Pim in the first round.
When the drawing is completed, we will use the UKO competition editor for the schedule and next round drawings.
Ok,that's about it. I hope you like it, I did the best I could to please you.

Very good, this is perfect for this kind of tournament. Good work, but you have miss Franco Chiandotto in the italian group!!
Very BIG mistake!
I sended my schedule for the next rounds I hope that is the same that in the UKO, it's very important!!

(Robert 'No Password' Swift here)

Alkis

That's brilliant! Thank God I don't have to play James Lockerbie. After ten years of playing the same guy I'm ready for a change.

I'm glad you guys liked it. One thing though, I'm definetely NOT doing the drawing myself, and that's because I'm the one who thought of this formula and I will bring all the little pieces of paper. I wouldn't want anyone to accuse me of foul play. Maybe Mark or why not everyone who comes on Friday night can draw the papers.
I did some changes after the latest news:
-Simon Butt was deleted, Darren Gurney took his place in group 8.
-Franco Chiandotto was placed in group 5, Jacob Kofoed in group 4.
I made sure Kees and George were placed in 5 people groups, that way if they're not coming nothing will change (expect that we will miss them). I'm waiting for their confirmation.

Group 1:Steve Screech, Anthony Kyne, Carl Norman, Michael Qureshi

Group 2:Mark Holliday, Martin Beard, James Beard, Andy Middleton

Group 3:Gunther Wening, Jan Tijssen, Niels Tijssen, Pim Vink

Group 4:Mark Poelstra, Riemer Poelstra, Tim Klifman, Kees van den Berg, Jacob Kofoed

Group 5:Gianluca Troiano, Fillippo Della Bianca, Fabio Artuso, Franco Chiandotto

Group 6:Alkis Polyrakis, Vasilis Kafiris, George Koumoutsos, Helmut Hausmann, Klaus Lederer

Group 7:Oliver Shleede, Danny Dinneen, Nazim Choudhury, Mark Elliott

Group 8:James Lockerbie, Robert Swift, Steve Camber, Darren Gurney

Also place Steve Camber in group 2, along with the Beard brothers. They've played against each other.

Yeah Alkis I think that would be great if you could move Steve Camber to group 2 with me and Martin. We have played each other hundreds of times.

I would like Jim or Martin having to play against their good friend Steve so soon. That would ruin their chances for the wooden spoon! hehehe!

Phew that's a relief, I don't want to have to face the might of the beard bros in the first round.
Let some other suckers take a beating !
