Yet i still feel confident, dont ask me why though.Well truth be told i was a good KO2 player from the start very good at free kicks, alas i am out of practice but i feel i can win a few games without this luxury.
If nothing else i will give 100% effort in the tourney. If i win a few games i will be well chuffed but just being there and meeting all the guys will be a prize which i will enjoy.

Great attitude Beckite ! I think that's how most of us feel too.

Looking forward to those first 7 games...

It will be a loss for me not to qualify to the next round, but I'll help you with filming Ely!

All I'd say Becktite is that I imagine everyone is atleast quite good, especially at free kicks. To be a devastating winner I reckon you have to be a whizz with some skills hardly anyone else can do...

Not all players are good at free kicks! Not even at corner kicks. I can score only from one corner flag (up-left). As for the techniques, I won't be surprised if I meet 32 people with 32 different styles. Me and Alkis are different players, so as me and George. I bet all of us have a special ability.

Even after 10 years of playing I can make nothing out of KO2 corners.

I started scoring from a corner kick recently! It was a kind of inspiration! You have to practice many corner kicks in order to find the trick.

I only have two methods of scoring in corner kicks, one with 4-2-4 (which is bery dangerous, you only have on defender and he's at the center) and one with 5-3-2. They both succeed quite rarely, though.

On reflection i may well be beaten rather heavily by all. That is unless i get an amiga or st this weekend with which to practice.
I wasnt going to bother but i would like to bring some hardware with me to the gathering and of course a little practice would be nice. <IMG SRC="/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

Amongst the car-full of junk I'm going to be bringing there will be 3 comp pro sticks, so no problem there then.

I may need one of those. I had a worrying time this afternoon when I was playing. I could hear bits of broken plastic rattling about inside. I took it to bits and cleared them all out and I think it's okay. Fingers crossed that's the last problem I have. This is the only joystick i have ever owned, and the only one I have really liked. Only having smallish hands i'm not a huge lover of the Comp. Pro.
