What is happening about selecting the team players before kick off?
Does it make a difference?
Are we just using the default teams?
If not and someone wants to use the default team after someone messed around with it the game before, does this mean a reload? - otherwise its going to take ages moving players about...
For simplicity I say no changing of the team is permitted - so you have to live with 2 forwards as substitutes.
Vote...

Nice one MJB.

Yeah, I agree, I'd hate to find the default team had been rearranged..

Is there actually someone among us who doesn't start with the default team?
I don't even make substitutions (except if there's an injury of course)!

Yeah I am with you on that one Vasilis, stick with the players you are dished out with or we are going to have to reload between each game and then set the kits to black and yellow again.

Then we would have to go and set the pitch to SOGGY !! ( joke ) .

soggy is my worst pitch type. No wonder why I rarely play games with soggy. I hate when the ball stucks in the mud... I mean, if it was for fun, I'd play some 10 min tackling-red card-extravaganza, but when it comes to competition, normal is the only one!

Soggy makes for a much more intense fun game.. well on Atari ST at least.
Shame we've gotta use normal for the tourny.

Hey SteveC if we are in the same group then our game can be on a soggy pitch. I remember all those runs from the kickoff I used to get on a soggy pitch and how knackering those games were. They were a bit like a round of Speedball...

Well I think you should be allowed to change the Team. With everyone have their preferred way of playing you need to get the best players for the task. I'm still adjusting to not having R.Shaw in my team

Yeah, it's a deal JB, soggy for our match! What a laugh that would be.

Don't want too many Beards in my group though - I'd prefer to take on some fresh talent.

Mark, We will have to start the tournament at 9am to allow for all the reloading of amigas between each game.

SteveC, I hope we are not in the same group mate I would rather meet you in the final. Mind you if we come 1st and second in our group in theory (based on the Champions League) the next time we would meet would be the final wouldn't it ?

I'm letting Alkis deal with all Gathering rules but for my part as long as BOTH parties agree then what you want to do shouldn't be too muh of a problem..BUT it does mean that the turn around between games gets longer and longer. Alkis? is there any hane that when you ome over you could have the rules printed out for distriibution to ompetitors???????

Well Alkis only 1 vote so far for being able to mess about with the teams so hopefully it won't happen. I understand the 'as long as both parties agree' thinking - but in this particular case the people playing after the 'messed up teams' are the ones who are gonna have to reboot, reset the colours blah blah.
I think whatever ruling is made on this one is definitive regardless of who agrees what on a per game basis.
