You people have a short memory! This has been discussed before.
-Everyone in the first round will play either 3 or 4 times out of seven as Team A, this will be set during the drawing. (If your name is mentioned first, you control Team A).
-Everyone in the second round will play either 1 or 2 times as Team A.
- In Quarter finals and semi finals, obviously you get home & away matches (no away goals though!)
-In the final, a coin toss.

That's the best I can do. What I can guarranty is that the whole schedule will be predetermined, meaning I already have written something like:

A1-A3
A5-A2
etc.

and when the names are drawn, everyone will get a code. Okay it may sound complicated, but let me worry about that.

@alkis21

Oh, I heard this for the first time, but perhaps I didn't read every thread.

Alkis, is better to put all the rules in a document that all the people can read and don't leave alone in a thread. Most of people who compete the tournament don't read the forums and they can't know all the rules.
In this days I play very hard Kick Off and Franco show me the differences from port1 to port2.
Now we think the player in port2 have some advantages and we ask to split the final in 2 matches if most of people agree with this possibility...
mmm maybe is better to take a decision on sunday with all the guys.
Sorry for the confusion created!

I'm of the opinion that the semi's should be 2 legged and that the final should be one game of 10 mins per half. The toss deciding the port. Yes there is a slight difference between the two but that adds more beauty to the coin toss. Which ever port you are in the better player should prevail. At Wembley Stadium there was always a lucky changing room and the vast majority of winning sides in the cup final had the lucky changing room. So it is with the ports, lets keep the romance and not get sucked in by political correctness!!!!!! Portally challenged!!!

Could someone please specify EXACTLY what difference there is between port 1 and port 2 ?

In my 11 years of playing the game, I've never seen any difference, no matter how subtle.

Give examples, please !

The difference is very subtle but sometimes the 2nd port players appear to be a little more fragile!

Sometimes the port 1 players are a bit fragile too. Seems quite even to me.

Anyway, what is this all about ???????
Sometimes you get dealt a really crappy team who love to fall flat on their faces at the earliest opportunity, leaving a graveyard of bodies cluttering up the field.
The same goes for the goalie - sometimes you get a complete gimp of a keeper who lets in even the most easy to save shot !!

Is there some sort of random stat modification before each single game ?

I don't want to find myself in the first game of the tournament at the helm of a team of complete cabbages. Nightmare scenario !

As there seems to be a lot of confusion about the differences between Port 1 and Port 2, I try to explain my experiences.

First, this seems to happen not always, respectively the level of impact from this effect is different from game to game.
The player who controls the menu(Port 2= Player1) benefits from this effect.
The results of this phenomenon include:
-Higher priority (the ball is gained easier and not so easy lost in player duels)
-Better positioning of the players(includes defence and offence positioning)
-Shooting is more dangerous

Conclusion:
This effect leads to an advantage of Player 1, the posession of the ball increases, which results in better offence and therefore usually more goals.
Helmut and I have noticed this effect long ago and we believe that this effect really exists.

P.S. I would be very interested what Mr Dini says about that.

I have always tried to understand what determines player strength (i.e. who can push other players over). When you've spent as much time making teams as I have, this information is like the holy grail.

As far as I can determine:-

It's a player-specific thing
It's consistent from game to game
It's connected with the following player attributes - Height, Weight, Tackling (these are not visible in Kick Off 2, only extra time or Player Manager)
There's something else affecting it that we don't know about - maybe a hidden attribute

We have a couple of players, J.R.Cross and A.Chapman, who NEVER fall over and always push other players off the ball. This is incredibly useful for dribbling or just charging through the opposition.

Mmmmmm this all sounds dubious to me. Are you sure its not all psychological???
Can't say I ever noticed - we need a word from Dino I'd say.
However saying all this I'll have port 1 please!
