Steve, there are some details we need to know. Like the London-Dartford train timetable. If I arrive in London at like 5:00 am Saturday, for instance, how long will I have to wait for a train to Dartford? And how long does it take to go from the airport to the train station? (I assume there's a bus).
More importantly, when will the tournament approximately end? If it ends late on Sunday evening, will there still be a train to take us to London?

Hmm okay, there a quite a few trains that go to Dartford from London, it is about 45 min journey. Trains are fairly expensive over here though. The best bet is to try and get 4 of you and just grab a cab to Dartford directly. It is closer than London to the airport...thats if you go in to Gatwick. If you go into Heathrow then it's further and i don't recommend a cab from there as the traffic around there is appalling. There are train stations at both airports but the Gatwick one is far better. The tournament will finish by 5 pm on the sunday. I may be able to drive a couple of people to Gatwick after the tourny but it will be a squeeze.

Dartford is linked by rail to the London termini of Waterloo East (for Waterloo and Waterloo International), Charing Cross, Cannon Street and Victoria.
Timetable (Connex -rail company)
London Bridge Dartford 0 2.11.01 9:57 10:29 0:32
London Bridge Dartford 0 2.11.01 10:00 10:31 0:31
London Bridge Dartford 0 2.11.01 10:03 10:42 0:39
I found no info about the fares.

There is an actuall story here in Greece for a tourist who took a taxi from the airport to Rafina. The normal fare is 6-7.000 GDR (approximately 10 pounds), but the poor tourist was ignorant... the cab driver told him to pay 80.000 GDR (approximately 110 pounds) and he also gave him a receipt(!) for this, a piece of paper written in Greek saying the following:
"He was stupid enough to pay 80.000 just to go from the airport to Rafina." lol
