Congratulations to grande Fabio! I always thought someone would have to knock Gianni out for him to get a shot at the title, like it happened in my case, but he managed to beat the man himself which is beyond impressive!

Congratulations also to the eternal final boss Gianni, I bet that this loss hurt less than the previous ones in finals.

Well done to Thor too, he's proven that he's so much more than a shooting star.

Who won the Silver Cup?!

Imagine that, after Dagh and Gianni won five titles between them from 2008 to 2012, without anyone coming even close to touching them, we couldn't begin to think who could ever beat them. It's been six years since then, and we've had a new champion every year!

I missed you all, guys, great turnout. I hope to catch you in a future tournament.

Huge congratulations to Fabio, our new World Champion! I am very happy for him, and also believe that it is good for our Association that we are still finding new champions.

It was also a very good thing that Nikos received the KOA Award. He has done so much for us through many years, from a hidden but very effective position.

To be honest, when I saw Gianni pulled away with a lead in the first leg, I thought this was it, and that Gianni had it secured. But obiously, I forgot how Fabio is fully able to perform some fantastic comebacks, like he did in 2014 vs Dagh. An incredible final! Congratulations to Fabio for winning, but just as much congratulations to Gianni for his performance.

And yes, Thor and Andy also deserves a mention, along with many others, but I'll save that for my write-up.

Jorn was actually right. Fabio did an amazing come back in a score down of 6-2. end of first half in leg 1. a score that usually leads to a sure double digit. instead Fabio overturned the score. The first leg was eventually equalised exactly on the final whistle.
