Personally I'd be indifferent. I think Milan has come forward with a quality bid, and those of us who went there in 2012 can vouche for their ability to deliver.

However, if there are any other cities considering bidding, and Milan are cool with giving it some more time, I'd be cool with that.

But we should also consider the time needed for proper advertisement of the event, to ensure as many players as possible gets to attend.

There has been much time already to collect information to advance a bid.

I think it would be better to pass to the next step.
In theory if there were other bids, this week should have been the week for the vote. Since there are no other bids, I do think it would be deleterious to waste precious time.
You know a world cups isn't just a matter of to book a tournament room and to find an hotel.
April is knowing the doors. November is just round the corner.
