Rules can be decided amongst the atendees once the venue has been picked. We didn't include any rules in the Dublin bid and we didn't have any associated outcry. "Let them play Kick Off" declared Pedro and this was done!

What is important, is the venue and the capacity of the hosts to host a good world cup,"rules" are irrelevant. We should evaluate bids on merit alone.

I'm sorry Danny, but I can't agree with you on this. Rules aren't irrelevant, not when the different rules used affects gameplay.

To me they are , they don't factor when I am placing a vote for the World Cup location.

I personally think rules are important but what the hell, it's something in my favour for a change so I'll take this Danny! cheers!

Rules are important but in terms of the bid surely we do not vote on rules alone, in fact Unless my decision was exactly
50/50 and there was no other way of splitting my decision, rules shouldnt be part of the bid process.

Mark, during the World Cup, I've had players who refused to play on certain amigas because:

a) The screen was too bright
b) The screen was too dark
c) The screen was too green
d) The screen was tilted 3mm to the side

To me, this would be akin a real football player saying "I don't want to get on the pitch tonight coach, it's raining!"

Taking this under consideration, would you be surprised if some players didn't want to attend a WC because of one minor rule decision? I wouldn't.
