Thanks. I'll get the outstanding booked this weekend.

That's the easy part done, now I have to practice ko2 !

Hi all,
I'm thinking of having another bash at a tournament (just me this time and not my mate Tim).
Looking at the thread seems like the tournament games will be roughly noon to 5pm Saturday, is that still correct?
Still undecided about train or driving down from Yorkshire, and staying Friday or Saturday or both.
Premier Inn is up to £82 Friday and £114 Saturday, but The Hermitage and The Grove both look good and within 400 yards, and £72 and £66 per night respectively.
Ian.

Welcome Ian, good to see another newbie like me onboard. I'm not sure about the starting time however I'm guessing it will be earlier than noon, I'm sure Logos will confirm.

Hi Ian, that's great news!

Regarding the tournament times for Saturday, as Danny said, we should be starting before Noon, if anyone is late they can always catch up with their games. A few of us are remaining flexible with when to finish playing and we might play on beyond 5pm for extra fun games. However, the official UK Championship will need to be finished before 5pm as I believe at least 3 players will need to leave by then.

Regarding accommodation, yes, The Hermitage or The Grove will save you some money, I only chose the Premier Inn as it has an ideal conference room for this tournament.

Update:
Hermitage Hotel booked for Friday night.
Return flight book for Saturday night.

Now all that is left is train tickets and ko2 practice.

Thanks both.
Premier Inn booked Friday night £82 non-refundable so I'm definitely coming now!
Train booked arriving Bournemouth 20:12 Friday, departing 17:45 Saturday. Looks a nice easy 1 mile walk to the hotel.
(I thought about driving but decided against it as I'm planning on staying up the night before to watch the general election results)
Ian.

The more the merrier ! 8 confirmed isn't bad at this stage.

As Sir.Swift so elegantly said in 2009 viewtopic.php?f=12&t=15564 we should do everything possible to get retirees to this tournament.I've sent pms to Ely, Bounty Bob, Holteender_rob (he is next door in Portsmouth) and I've posted to a couple of forums:
http://www.lemonamiga.com/forum/viewtop ... 189#118189 Lemon Amiga
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/somakeit SouthHampton Maker Space

3rd parties have posted this to the :
MakeBmth & Dorset Constructorium maker mailing lists.
facebook amiga and retrogaming groups

I can guarantee you that people who attend the UKC are 100% more likely to enter the World cup! One hand washes the other and the KO2 community prospers!
Go the extra mile and contact your old ko2 pals, show them it makes sense to come to Bournemouth !

But I'm already coming

However, going to this will not make me go to a WC. That ship has long since sailed I'm afraid, it's one thing traveling somewhere in the UK to get beaten all the time, but I ain't going abroad for it :)
