Let's start pestering people to register for the world cup

Postby alkis21 » Tue Aug 27, 2013 11:43 am

OK the summer is almost over, the numbers are lower than ever and that's including two strangers who may or may not attend. I believe that it's time to try and hunt down potential attendees. I compiled a list of people who have at least some realistic chances of going, if you see a friend of yours among them please try to find out their intentions.

Austria
Harald Bauer: Not coming
Armin Kogler: Not coming
Wolfgang Magg: Not coming
Helmut Hausmann: Will attend

Germany
Frank Fuhrmann: Not coming
Cornelius Henze: Possible
Thorsten Butschke: Not coming
Peter Sommer: Not coming
Peter Klimaschefski: Possible
Wolf Heyer
Thomas Niekamp: Not coming
Frederic Baum: Not coming
Alex Brante: Not coming

In 2009, I learned that Voitsberg is not as easily accessible to the Germans as one might have thought. But surely we can expect at least 4 or 5 of the guys above to show up? Oliver, Jorg, can you talk to them?

Italy
Ettore Torchio: Will attend (win)
Alessandro Verrani: Not coming
Gianluca Troiano: Not coming
Lorenzo Ceselli: Not coming
Gabriele B: Not coming
Lorenzo Lozito: Will attend
Flavio Zurla: Will attend
Fabio Fichera: Not coming
Mario Fichera: Not coming
Paolo D: Not coming
Michele Lorenzetti: Will attend
Gianluca Panareo: Not coming

All of the above are frequent Kick Off travelers, so what's holding them? Gianni, please report.

The Big White North
Dagh Nielsen: Not coming
Jacob Kofoed: Not coming
John Hogstrom: Not coming

I know that Dagh does not attend on odd years, and the other two have kind of faded away.. but still, Jorn, give them a shout will ya?

Greece
George Kakaletris: Not coming
Ektoras Kapsoulis: Not coming
Kostas Kakaletris: Not coming

I'll talk to them.

England
Steve Screech: Not coming
Garry Currier: Not coming
Dino Dini: Will attend
Steve Ellesmore: Not coming
Simon King: Not coming

I'll find out what Steve S is thinking. Birmingham boys, any hope of seeing you there?

Holland
Gunther Wening: Possible

I'll talk to Gunther.

For those who spoke about the World Cup Committee, here you are!
Thanks Alkis good job
I'm in contact with basically all the Italians at the moment, also because we are thinking to arrange the Italian Camp in the end of September/ beginning of October to make some training for the world cup.

Alessandro Verrani 0% (the birth date of his doughter is expected for October, realistically he will not join the 2013 World Cup)
Gianluca Troiano - (he reads the forum and facebook, I think he will speak for himself) Hope he will join the world cup!
Lorenzo Ceselli - His attendance isn't guarantee due to his duties with his 5 a side soccer team. according with his soccer calendar (scheduled for the end of september) he could be among us.
Lorenzo Lozito - He will join the world cup.
Flavio Zurla - He will join the world cup.
Gianluca Panareo - most luckily coming at the world cup. info will follow soon.
Michele Lorenzetti - He will join the world cup (he is asking me to book the room)
Mario Fichera and Fabio Fichera most luckily coming.
Marco Troglos - maybe, who knows.

The most of the Italian newbies of last year, as expected, will not join the world cup but some of them are still interested.
Marco Mazzaglia, Fabio Ragionieri and someone else aren't completely out this event.
Some others, like Koney K, Fabrizio R and Denny M, being relatively close to Voitsberg (they live near Venice which is 250Km closer to Voitsberg than Milan) Could join it, but, nothing is sure yet.
Luigi is out (no question), Maurizio is dead (as player and probably like person as well), Sandro will be in Australia.
Marco Stox did't come to Milan 2013, very doubtful he will join Voitsberg.

In conclusion: I do think that Italy will give his usual contribution.
I'm sorry about the very few Italian registered player at the moment, it is basically my fault because, you know, I'm used to push on the players and I'm usually the PR of the KOA toward those Italians who don't read the forum. lately I've been a bit busy but I'm confident that Italian registrations will follow soon. :)

BTW, there is another Italian I think he MUST be contacted: DINO!!! he told he would have loved to join every world cup for generations to come. I think that, outlooks are good.
BTW 2: I forgot my favourite talent: Paolo D. From Holland Ins't easy but who knows he could be among us too.

By the way, I have just registered in the WC web :D

I will write now to the other spaniard on the list. I already contacted him, like three months ago, and he said that he would attend. But to be honest, I would be really surprised if he did.

I will let you know.

That's fantastic, Gianni! Better than expected, I did not believe we'd see the Ficheras again.

Can you get some of these guys to register? The low number of registered players may put off some people who are thinking of attending.

You Italians are awesome, thanks! I know that we didn't do much to tease people, believe me, it's because of being hyper busy, not lack of interest. For security reasons I'll kick coldie's ass though  I don't think we'll see Harald this year, Armin should be in though. Wolfgang disqualified himself when wimping out on the second day in 2009. However in the meantime the official WC poster is ready, we should send it to the Lotek guys, maybe we'll get some newbies. (And probably post it here, Michael? )

Alessandro Verrani 0% (the birth date of his doughter is expected for October, realistically he will not join the 2013 World Cup)

Whoa, best wishes to Alessandro and family! I wouldn't be able to travel this year either, same reason

I´ll start to built my house on 16th of September, so from this point my weekends are surely reserved for working inside my house so my attendance is very very insecure... :/ Cause of that I don´t do the registration until now. I´m sorry!

But of course, I´ll take a look at you guys but normally it´s not possible to attend as a player...

It's shocking that three out of the four residents of Voitsberg are not going to attend. I hope that Michael won't end up doing everything alone...

Excuse me Alkis, the Ficheras should be signed as "POSSIBLE" at the moment. Paolo D as well. I think I will be more precise at the beginning of September.
